Hello there, happy Yuletide time again! My name is Daisy, otherwise known as [archiveofourown.org profile] days4daisy on AO3 or [tumblr.com profile] daisy4days on Tumblr. Thank you so much for writing for one of my rare fandoms. I love them dearly and mourn the lack of content for them. I’m will be so excited with anything you make!

I think I’m pretty easy to please in exchanges. I like happy works and sad works, smutty works and G-rated works. I like cheerful and happy or dark and cruel. As long as you respect my DNWs, go wherever the story takes you!

Please note: I write stupid-long letters, I apologize in advance XD I get so excited about my fandoms, it’s hard not to word-vomit all over the place!! That said, I’m not expecting the Great Epic Novel of our time. Feel free to pick bits and pieces of a prompt, or write me one scene from a prompt, or just say “your prompts are stupid, Daisy” and write what you want :P

Bad Times at the El Royale (2018)

Requested Characters: Daniel Flynn, Billy Lee, Emily Summerspring

Optional Ships: Daniel Flynn/Darlene Sweet, Billy Lee/Rose Summerspring, Miles Miller/Original Male Character, Billy Lee/Daniel Flynn, Emily Summerspring/Darlene Sweet, Billy Lee/Emily Summerspring, Billy Lee/Emily Summerspring/Rose Summerspring, Billy Lee/Miles Miller, Billy Lee/Cult Orgy!

About this Movie: I nominated this movie knowing its release would meet the Yuletide cut-off, and I'm *so* glad I did! (Definitely missed some characters I should have nominated ;_; But I'll get to that below.) The trailer told me this movie would be up my alley, and yup, it was! I love the contrast between the cheesiness of the hotel concept and the dark/complex back stories of its inhabitants. The mysterious operation of the establishment is so ominous, and while I was frustrated by the open-endedness I really liked it too. But it made me want so much fic to fill in the gaps! Who is management? Why were they bugging the rooms? Where were the tapes going? The El Royale feels like it's potentially part of this huge political conspiracy, but we only get a taste of what it was in its former glory and what it's being used for now. Similarly, we get just enough of a sample of each character's back story to make us care for them, but key details are left out for everyone. This is the perfect Yuletide canon for me, whether you want shipping or gen there is *so* much room to worldbuild and play around within the stories and characters here. I loved the music in the film too, how it enhances some scenes and contrasts jarringly with the violence of others. And the weather! The violent storms! Heavy rain! Beautiful California beaches! Idyllic yellow-flowered fields for half-naked cultists to merrily traispe through! And that line separating California and Nevada, splitting the hotel in two, the snort-worthy higher prices for California, the not-operating, decrepit slot machines in Nevada, the pictures of Marilyn Monroe, the old school jukebox, the wall of vintage wine bottles, the indoor fire pits, the skeevy-as-fuck back corridor with that freaking video camera!! Seriously, go wild and play in this 'verse. I'm so excited to potentially see it expanded in fanon form!

I'm fine receiving a gift not featuring a combination of these characters, if you're so inclined! I've given some other ideas in the prompts below. And a note - at the time of nominations, I vaguely knew of the characters through the trailers but I missed a few who I'm very, very interested is. 100% optional Darlene, Rose, and Miles prompts are below. I didn't nom them, I suck, and I want to know more about all these characters including them!

"Father" Daniel Flynn

So, I was not expecting my feelings for Daniel's connection with Darlene. I love that they're in some ways co-conspirators out of necessity. But they understand each other on some deeper level. They know what it's like to hurt, albeit in very different ways. Daniel is not a good person by any stretch, and yet - in comparison to the "strong," powerful male figures in this movie, Daniel is sympathetic. I find it interesting.

More on Daniel/Doc's background would be awesome! How long had he and his brother been living a life of crime? Was this the only time Daniel was locked up?

I may have mindfacted this, but I got a sense that Darlene reminded Daniel of someone, and that's why he was so emotionally taken with her singing. Did Daniel have a wife, daughter, or other loved one who sang? Did he have a wife or lover of the same race? Did something happen to that person? Is the trauma maybe why his brain has blocked this out as part of his memory loss?

Anything you want to give me with Daniel and Darlene post-movie would be fabulous. When does Darlene end up in LA, and does Daniel go with her? How long does it take Darlene to get her solo career off the ground? What obstacles does she face, and triumphs does she have, not only as a woman of color making a solo career - but a woman of color proudly featuring her natural hair and appearance. Do Darlene and Daniel live together, or stay with each other from time to time? I am TOTALLY here for shipping this, so if you want them to find a more sensual or emotional connection, I'm good with it! But I'm also fine with a platonic support between them as well. Is Darlene there for Daniel during the bad times with his memory loss, is he there for her after a rough performance or a lead that goes nowhere because of racism or sexism? Does Daniel ever remember his real name being Donald O'Kelly, and does he share his name with Darlene?

A time Daniel shows Darlene he likes her natural hair more than the wig. As touched as Daniel is when Darlene sings, is there anything she can learn to like from him just as much? A private singing performance Darlene gives to Daniel as their relationship gets closer.

I'm not really sure what I want here, because these characters interact so little in the movie - but I'd love to see more of Emily and Daniel together. Maybe it's tense, after Emily accidentally shoots Miles? Maybe Daniel is fully in jolly old priest character, and Emily is not up for being polite?

Billy Lee

This guy, sheesh - give me more of his creepy hotness! How in the world did he start his cult? Who was Billy Lee before he started collecting young girls and gangsters with guns? How does Billy draw people into his cause? Is it just with sweet words? Drugs? Do they buy into his anti-God stance? His violence? Does Billy have some ultimate goal for his cult, or is he in it to look badass and have lots of hot sex?

So, Billy's relationship with Rose. It's creepy as fuck, and I'm totally fine with having it featured! I really don't want to see it played off as romantic or sweet. The age and power difference was disturbing to me, and the disturbing part is what I'm here for with them.

So, with the running bit about the Malibu Murders that Rose committed, and Emily's insistence that Rose was never this violent before Billy Lee came into her life... Yes, more of that! How did Billy unlock this violence in Rose? It's such a stark contrast from their first meeting on that beach to that scene where Rose battles another girl for the rights to sleep with Billy. How does Billy get Rose there? Are the murders his idea, or does Rose commit them without his knowing because she expects it to make him happy? When does Emily find out about the murders?

Speaking of Rose's violence, give me Rose's victory night with Billy. Does Billy have sex with her? Is he super tender? Have they ever had sex before? Is this Rose losing her virginity? The way Billy Lee preys off the desires of these young girls is just blehh, I'd love to read more about the psychology that goes into that. What desires he plays off. Is there drug use involved? Does he claim to love her best? Does he claim he'll protect her, maybe taking away that mantle of protector from her older sister Emily? Is Boots his only nickname for Rose?

Anything about the days leading up to Rose running away and joining Billy's cult! Why does she leave home? How does Billy convince her to stay? (Other than just looking hot and naked on a beach, lol. Which...I mean, Chris Hemsworth, that may be a good enough reason!) How long is Rose there before Emily manages to kidnap her away?

Also, anything about the tense relationship between Billy and Emily - they're essentially fighting over the soul of poor Rose, given the religious themes hanging over this movie! Does Billy sincerely think Emily is going to join up with the cult like Rose? Or does he like rubbing his ownership of Rose over Emily? Does Billy flirt with Emily, or make attempts on her, and it's all one big showmanship act? As something truly awful, does Emily have to watch as Billy beds Rose, or does Billy propose having both of them at the same time - and Emily would laugh in his face if Rose weren't so interested? Or, flipside, does Emily use sex to lull Billy into a false sense of security? Maybe post-orgy or sex is when Emily steals Rose away, part of why Billy snarks about not even getting a goodbye from Emily when they reunite at the El Royale.

Also, good grief, Billy is so awkwardly hot. I was grinning from ear to ear during that goofy-hot gyration dancing, especially when he started doing it up against Daniel's back :P I'm here for way more of that. Make him inappropriate with Daniel in general because Daniel's pretending to be the clergy, and Billy hates religion! Or maybe he tries to make Daniel worship him because - hey, he's a god and a god needs priests :P Or he may mock Miles, get all dirty with him, whisper on hs bloody face, lick his ear, because Flynn may not be a real priest - but he's a god, so Miles is more than welcome to worship him! Or! Maybe his followers worship him in front of all their prisoners. Awkward fireside hotel orgy!

Brief as they were, I also really loved the tense interactions with Billy and Daniel and Billy and Darlene. More of that in any direction you want to take them! More bogus philosophising about religion? Does Billy try to challenge Darlene again on his masculinity? Does Billy have any other fun party tricks up his sleeve when the Red/Black game gets boring? Is there any divergence out there where Billy would find Darlene and/or Daniel and/or Miles amusing enough to want to keep them with his crew?Or another timeline where Billy can think up a better punishment for Emily than what eventually happens in the movie?

Emily Summerspring

Oh my goodness, my heart hurts for her so much. This character has so much depth. I love the ways we're able to see that life has made her into this violent person. She's always been the protector, from taking the brunt of her father's abuse for Rose's sake, to putting herself in danger to save Rose from this violent cult. It's interesting to see the contrast between her and Rose, who is so out of her mind at this point that she barely even remembers murdering a married couple in their home and shrugs it off when she does.

I'd love to see more about the sisters. When does Emily realize Rose is missing? Or that she's joined a cult? At first, Emily seems to welcome it - maybe thinking Rose is safer with Billy Lee's group than she was around the family? Does Emily ever get a comeuppance on her father?

A canon-divergence, maybe Emily sees what Darlene and Daniel are up to in Room 5. Does it turn violent? Or in the money, is there maybe a way out for Rose and Emily too?

I'm also totally here for Emily/Darlene, though I'm not sure how we get there! I loved that moment where Emily is staring at Darlene while Darlene sings sans-wig in Room 5. It's so tense given what Daniel is doing at the same time, but also kinda sexy, Emily just standing there with that rifle watching Darlene sing. I'm not sure how you get them together from that, but I'm here for it!

And, I was so taken with Emily's relationship with Miles too. I'd love a canon divergence where Billy doesn't show up. Would she have actually killed him? Let him go? Forced him to stay with her and Rose as insurance?

And if Billy hadn't shown up, what was Emily planning to do with Rose? Take her back to Alabama? Was it possible for Emily to get her sister back, or is the Rose corrupted by Billy the only one left?

Optional Prompts Featuring Other Characters

Oh, Darlene!! I'm so bummed I didn't nominate her ;_____; I have some options for her interacting with other characters above. One thing I'd also really love is Darlene getting to stick it to that asshole producer Buddy Sunday. Seriously, fuck that guy. I love that we get to see Darlene living her dream of being a successful solo artist in the end. But the vindictive bitch in me wants to see Darlene tell that Sunday guy to go fuck himself. Seriously, let her flaunt her awesomeness in front of this $200/hour jerk.

Also, MILES!! Poor sweet murder-child. I'd love to read about how Miles came to join the El Royale after returning from the war. Does he have some kind of connection to management? Is the proprietor someone who knew him from Vietnam? Someone who knows his sharpshooter talents and wants to exploit them for not-honorable reasons?

My heart broke at the bit about Miles and kindness, how he kept the one tape of the super famous dead person having sex at the El Royale. (Was it supposed to be Kennedy?Someone else? My first thought was Kennedy given the time period, but idk...) In general, Miles seems like a kid who would bend himself to anyone offering a kind ear and a gentle touch. Did the famous dead person touch him? Woo him with sweet words and a bit of kissing? Melt him? Or give me some other time when a male guest touched or talked to Miles in a way that Miles melted for.

I'm also so here for an implausible fix-it where Miles, Darlene, and Daniel get to be a little found murder/heist family together. Let Darlene and Daniel adopt their little PTSD child! Miles starts to do good deeds to make up for all the bad on his ledger! He's Darlene's most enthusiastic fan when she starts getting solo gigs! Maybe Miles starts helping Daniel out with remembering things, listens to past stories and recites them back to Daniel if he can't remember them? If Miles didn't have to live a life of sin and blood, what would he do for a career?

Also here for equally implausible "post-war Miles falls into Billy Lee's cult"! Miles is so desperate for affection and validation, he could get that in spades with Billy. And I'm sure his talents could be used for all the wrong reasons as part of Billy's cult.

Also, in general - I'd love more about management and the history of the hotel! When did it open? How did it get so popular with the Hollywood and DC elite? What's the most scandalous thing to ever happen there? (Not counting Billy Lee's gyrating hips ;D)

Hotel Artemis (2018)

Requested Characters: Waikiki | Sherman, The Wolf King | Orian Franklin, Everest

Optional Ships: Waikiki/Everest, Waikiki/The Wolf King, The Wolf King/Everest, Waikiki/Nice, The Wolf King/Detroit, The Wolf King/Crosby Franklin, The Wolf King/The Nurse, Everest/Morgan, Everest/The Nurse (no sex for this last one please)

About the Movie: Oh my gosh, the world of this movie. I wish it were a TV show so much. 2028 Los Angeles class tension with riots, corporate-regulated water, drone warfare, and hospitals for criminals? Count me in! We get so little time with these characters, I want to know everything about who they are within this ‘verse, who were they before Summer 2028 and who will they be after (if they survived). I love that the Hotel Artemis is one in a network of these underground criminal membership-only safehouses, there’s so much room to take this world and expand it out to other neighborhoods or cities. And I love the Artemis itself. I love how it’s both new and old at the same time. How advanced some of its medical technology is (3D printing new organs! Laser-repairing bullet wounds!), and how antique the building and the infrastructure is. The power constantly blowing out, the dull mumble of the coffee maker alerting to only one cup remaining. I’m so interested in learning anything and everything else about this world :D

I'm fine receiving a gift not featuring a combination of these characters, if you're so inclined! I've given some other ideas in the prompts below.

Fandom-Specific DNWs: Fic focusing on Acapulco. Nothing against the character! But Alcapulco fic/art dominate what little fandom there is for this movie, and I'd love to see something featuring one or more of the other characters.

Waikiki | Sherman

This character pulls at my heartstrings. The older brother who could have been so many things. Who had his own dreams, his own plans. And who never really got to live to his full potential because he was tied down by his constantly disappointing younger brother. That “you can only work with what you have” mantra that Waikiki lives by is depressing on one hand, but touching on the other. This is a guy who loves his family so much that he’s made peace with being held back, as disappointed and angry as he gets with Honolulu’s drug use and his screw ups. Like, on one hand you just want to shake Waikiki and tell him to live for himself like Nice does. On the other hand, it’s hard to fault him for loving his brother, even if by protecting Honolulu, Waikiki is enabling him.

I’d love anything about the brothers and their past. Waikiki references that he was out of the crime business for awhile. When did he make that decision before? What was he doing when he got out of crime? Was he happy? How did he get pulled back in? Was it just to help Honolulu, or did a part of him miss the life? Any past stories about Waikiki at the Artemis would be awesome too. When did he become a member? How did he first hear about it? What were his first impressions of the Nurse? Is the Artemis where he first met Nice, or did he meet her working a job?

Post-movie, I love the fear and the excitement in Waikiki. This is the first time in his life that he’s been able to decide for himself where to go and what to do. Does he go to Vegas to have his wound patched up, like Nurse suggests? Does he stay in the States? Does he ever get a passport on Nice’s suggestion? Because I choose to believe that Nice survived, do they meet up again? Does Waikiki ever have any reason to return to the Artemis after Everest takes over? Is there a different kind of camaraderie between them now that they lived through that night in Summer 2028 together?

Ship-wise, Waikiki is so freaking hot, I’m kinda here for anything :D I love Waikiki/Nice - I’d love to read about the first job they worked together, was it lust at first sight? When did they first hook up? Do they meet up again after the Artemis? Does Waikiki ever leave the country with Nice? Is their reunion all emotion and lust? Maybe Waikiki never quite loses the hitch in his step from the bullet wound post-movie, and he and Nice have to work around that during sex. I also lovelovelove Nice’s wrist scars for all her jobs, and I’m sure she loves all of Waikiki’s bullet scars. Scar worship during sex? Bueno! *kisses fingers*

It’s an odd couple, but I’m also here for Everest/Waikiki. Everest is so stand-offish during the movie to everyone except Nurse, I’d be really interested in seeing whether Everest and Waikiki had a different rapport if Waikiki ever returns to the Artemis after Everest takes over. Can they share their memories of Nurse and the old days over drinks? Maybe Everest is the one who breaks it to Waikiki that Nice is alive out there somewhere. If they were to hook up, is it a given that Everest would top given his height? Or does the part of him that felt content working under the Nurse also feel content being on the receiving end in the bedroom?

Orian Franklin | The Wolf King

Jeff Goldblum characters, man. *sigh* This one is in the movie for such a short amount of time, but his presence is felt in just about every scene. He’s this larger than life crime boss in a pair of huaraches, he’s soft spoken but cruel, and he controls Los Angeles with an iron fist. I want to know so much more about his place in this world and this crime syndicate he’s created for himself. How did The Wolf King rise to power? It’s implied that he has a large family, with Crosby being his youngest son. How many children does he have? Are they all in LA? Why is Crosby the only one with him when he’s so badly wounded? Is he married? Exes? How did the Wolf King get on the shit list of Nice’s boss Detroit? Are they friends turned enemies? Business antagonists? Did they ever fuck and now they hate each other? Did the Wolf King double-cross him somehow? I’m all for some Wolf King/Detroit Lovers to Enemies!

The back history between the Wolf King and the Nurse is so interesting. Did they ever have any romantic or sexual connection? The Wolf King even offers to take out the Nurse’s ex-husband, haha. Did he know them when they were married? Did he ever try to woo Jean away from Clyde? And did The Wolf King seduce the Nurse as part of his plot to set up this underground criminal hospital? Or did his affection for her come out of nowhere? The guy is clearly dan-ger-ous, but when he’s drugged out of his brain on the operating table, the Wolf King does say that he regrets the lies. He chose to go to the Artemis vs. another hospital in the city, and he does seem to feel some remorse for lying to the Nurse. Doesn’t make up for killing her son, but... idk you guys, this character is so brief but so fascinating to me!

Speaking of the family, more on the Wolf King’s twisted relationship with his youngest son Crosby! Tell me more about the Wolf King’s disappointment for how soft Crosby is. Go back to Crosby’s 18th birthday we hear about briefly in the movie, in what context did the Wolf King give him that inspiring message about his future and his dreams? Why is Crosby the only son there at the hospital with the Wolf King in LA? Give me a freaking Wolf King Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, or Christmas, lol. What is holiday time at the Franklin household like? Is it not a true Franklin gathering without at least one death? :P

If you’re up for some family incest, I’m also SO here for how emotionally tethered Crosby is to his father! Does Crosby love his father in a romantic or sexual way? Is Crosby the brat who always threatens to kill whoever his dad dates, only like - he means it? :P Maybe one time the Wolf King was a bit drugged up or drunk, and he touched/spoke to Crosby an inappropriate way, or just flat out sexed him up. And ever since then, Crosby has been enamored with his dad? Is that what happened on Crosby’s 18th birthday??

On a lighter tone - I think the Wolf King would get a kick out of Everest XD Mind fact, he’d find a big-ass guy like that with all the tattoos sexy as fuck, and he wouldn’t give a damn about flirting with him in that honey voice of his. What I can’t figure out is exactly how Everest would respond. Would he be pissed? Would he grumbly-go along with it because he’s loyal to Nurse? Would he be weirded out by it because, um, no one ever flirts with him let alone the King of LA, wtf? :P However you want this to go, I would LOVE to read it!!

AND! Omg. The tension between the Hawaii brothers and the Wolf King is such a huge part of Hotel Artemis. What is Waikiki going to do when the Wolf King realizes they’re there? What will he do when he finds out Honolulu stole his little pen safe with the canary diamonds? But then they never meet face to face! *dyiiiiing* I need this fixed! In a canon divergence, is the Wolf King’s operating room door cracked open, a drugged up Wolf King sees Waikiki passing by and calls him in? Does Waikiki get to the Wolf King before Nice?

Has Waikiki ever worked a job for the Wolf King before? Maybe that’s how Waikiki got out of the crime life the first time - he worked a job for the Wolf King in exchange for his freedom! Or, canon divergence, does Waikiki offer to work for the Wolf King to pay off his brother’s debt? Does he agree to take the Wolf King’s most dangerous job if the Wolf King will promise them freedom after? (Only, can a guy ever be free when they owe that freedom to the King of LA?)

I would LOVE to see some Wolf King/Waikiki, omg. Maybe another time WK and Waikiki were both in the Artemis, and the Wolf King decides he’s in the mood for some flirting. Is Waikiki banged up/maybe on some nice painkillers/been on the road a long time and he’s not thinking straight, and all of a sudden - shit, the Wolf King is talking him back to the Niagara room and - shit this isn’t a good idea, but !!!

After a job gone well, maybe the Wolf King pays Waikiki a personal call at his home to give his thanks. (Somewhat worrisome: the Wolf King knows where he lives!) The Wolf King hires Waikiki for a job that requires Waikiki to play his fake lover? Waikiki offers sexual favors for his brother’s safety? Experimental sex pollen drugs used on Waikiki, and the Wolf King gets some fun playtime??

Everest

This character is a mountain of mystery, I love him. It’s implied that Everest came to work for the Nurse because the Nurse made an exception to the Artemis’ rules for him when he was a kid. What exception, and why? And why doesn’t Everest feel like his debt is paid off by now? Why has he chosen to stay at the Artemis all this time?

I’m enamored with Everest’s relationship with the Nurse and would love all the background! When did Everest get the Nurse those self-help anxiety tapes? More of the Nurse jokingly calling Everest fat, but then snapping at him hardcore if it seems like he’s missing meals or not taking care of himself! I’m totally ok with this relationship skirting the line of platonic and romantic; I don’t really see it as sexual and would prefer no porn. But I’m totally fine with affection, more of Nurse calling Everest “babe,” etc.

Everest’s day-to-day life seems insane. More of him doing the Nurse’s grunt work! Does he ever have to bring a weapon outside to shoot down attacking drones? How many times has he had to go up to the roof to fix that darn generator? What is Everest’s impression on the riots? Does he have an apartment outside the Artemis? Does anyone remember who he is? Does he have to go out into the middle of rioting LA and, like, pick him and Nurse up takeout from the Chinese place up the street? :P And what is it like for Everest when he takes over the Artemis? Does he have to rebuild a reputation with Nurse’s clients? Does he have all the same medical know-how and training? Does he ever see the Nurse again?

As noted above, I’m here for some Waikiki/Everest or Wolf King/Everest. I’d also love to know if Everest ever sees Morgan again! Does he kinda like her, and it makes him soften his stance on cops just a little? Does Morgan come back to see the Nurse only to realize she’s moved on? I feel like these two could have a sweet little romance based on being two lost kids with the Nurse in common, lol.

Kong: Skull Island (2017)

Requested Characters: James Conrad, Kong, Preston Packard

Optional Ships: James Conrad/Kong, James Conrad/Preston Packard, James Conrad/Original Character(s), Preston Packard/Jack Chapman

About the Movie: Omg, I loved Kong: Skull Island so much more than I expected to *.* It’s such a beautifully shot movie, bright colors, 1970s vintage, crazy scary monsters. And the main characters kept me thinking way more than I would expect from the characters of a King Kong movie. I really love the backdrop of the just-ending Vietnam War and how that’s affected military men like Conrad and Packard personally for better and worse, as well as how it’s skewed the way they view an overwhelming new phenomenon like Kong. I was also taken with just how deep this iteration of Kong’s emotions seem to run. In other versions of the Kong story, he shows an ability for love and longing, but being able to perceive nuance in human behavior and relationships seems beyond him. In Kong: Skull Island….uggh, never over that scene with Kong, Conrad, and Weaver on the beach. That look! The begrudging acceptance, the hurt, the longing, and the utter awe from Weaver and Conrad. Baaaaah, dying - don’t mind me!

I'm fine receiving a gift not featuring a combination of these characters, if you're so inclined! I've given some other ideas in the prompts below.

James Conrad

God, I love this character. He subverts so many ideas I had going in about the King Kong leading male hero. I’d love any exploration into his early life! Why was he discharged from the SAS? How did he end up in Saigon? Was he only there temporarily, or was he planning to waste away there? When Randa comes across Conrad in that shady bar knocking assholes around with pool sticks (so cool *_*), he obviously still has some fight in him. But he’s fallen waaaaay from what you would expect from a war hero. He’s gambling for money, he’s drinking, he’s all disheveled and sweaty (and delicious looking, sorry). Is he suffering from PTSD or any other kind of post-war ailment? Is he in the bars all night because he hasn’t been able to sleep through the night in years?

What was Conrad’s underground life in Saigon like? How often was he called on for tracking missions? Was most of his life funded through gambling? Did he maybe sell other favors? Or just get himself into the Saigon underground through deals and relations with other shady bar-types? Ship-wise, I’m all for seeing Conrad buying or selling sex for extra money. Or picking up some guy/girl in an influential gang house for intel or money or whatever. I’m also for an original male character from the SAS who used to know Conrad trying to convince him to come back to the UK, and Conrad not having it. Maybe it’s someone who used to have tension with Conrad, and now that they’re not enlisted they can act on it.

I love everything about Packard’s relationship with Conrad too. I love that it’s not fully contentious until the very end, when Packard goes completely off the deep end and Conrad has to decide between him and saving Kong’s life. These two come from different countries, different military backgrounds and circumstances, but they understand each other as military men. I’d love to see more with them pre-Skull Island. Maybe playing cards and shooting the shit on their war memories. Sharing a few drinks. Maybe they both can’t sleep and they’re on the bow of the ship when everyone else is in bed.

Ship-wise, I am VERY MUCH HERE FOR THIS. And while I would love to see these two contentious, it’s not necessary! Maybe a few drinks pre-Skull Island and some long-bottled male desires come out. Maybe no one understands the restless pain Packard is in like Conrad, or vice versa. Does Packard remind Conrad of a commanding officer he used to have who was really, really hot? Maybe Packard catches on, starts talking to Conrad playfully in command tones, and Conrad really doesn’t have a shot of hiding exactly what he wants. In a canon divergence, maybe Conrad and Packard are on the same chopper that goes down on Skull Island. Is one or the other hurt? Does Packard not get to carry out his revenge scheme because he’s injured, and he has to do something he despises - rely on one someone else for help (Conrad, in this case)?

I’m also totally here for this taking a less-gentle slant too. Skull Island sex pollen? :D Packard can only get his way if he ties Conrad down to get him out of the way? Drugs him, or takes advantage of an injury? And Conrad looks so good all tied up like this? Noncon/dubcon, I’m fine with either for this ship! Or, if Packard succeeds and Kong dies at the end of the movie, what then? Is Conrad taken into Army custody? Does Packard give Conrad and Weaver shallow commendations for their Skull Island work as they get angrier and angrier?

Or, make it super twisty! Shady US Army amnesia drugs - is Conrad given a new life close to Packard, where Packard can keep an eye on him when he no longer remembers Skull Island? Or does Conrad live with Packard, thinking Packard is a lover or partner he no longer remembers? When he has flashes of monsters in his dreams, is he convinced it’s his PTSD acting up?

I’m also so very here for Conrad/Kong! As mentioned above, I love how complex Kong’s feelings seem to run for Conrad. By association with Weaver, Kong learns to trust Conrad so quickly that he’ll leave Weaver in Conrad’s arms after that crazy Skullcrawler fight, and just ashdfashdf;a. I want more!!! I want to know what would draw someone like Conrad to Kong. Is it nice, as someone who was so affected by the war, to feel for something outside his personal control? Is there freedom in being protected for once, where Conrad is so used to being a leader and scout?

Also here for Skull Island sex pollen in this case ;D ;D ;D Or super nsfw dreams about being tongued and fingered by a giant ape. Or just little quiet moments of understanding between Conrad and Kong. Does Kong start to learn about human appetite through Conrad? Does Kong bring him hard to find berries or other safe plants to try? If Conrad were sick or injured, would Kong hover over him like a building-sized guard dog? Or would he keep Conrad in his hands if he was cold? Maybe Conrad wakes up to one of Kong’s huge fingers massaging his back or the front of his body, and he can’t even speak he’s so sleepy and turned on? *_* Want!

Preston Packard

What a broken, interesting character. I’m so here for knowing more about Packard! What kind of life did he leave behind when he entered the war effort? Why doesn’t he want to go home? In a canon divergence where Packard does go home, what would he do? Is he capable of finding happiness? Does he suffer from any kind of PTSD? Would he be incapable of returning to a “normal” everyday existence in America?

I covered a bunch of ideas for Conrad & Packard in the section above. Another dynamic I would love to see explored is Packard and Chapman (or Packard/Chapman)! There’s such an interesting vibe with these two that isn’t fully explored. I mean, Packard likely would have flown off the handle about this overpowering force Kong if Chapman hadn’t been the one to go missing on Skull Island, but I definitely got the sense that Chapman being the one separated from the group (and eventually killed ;_;) was a huge motivator for Packard.

How does that closer dynamic between Chapman and Packard start? Why, out of Packard’s men, is Chapman the one that Packard takes an interest in? Is it Chapman’s young family? Does Chapman remind Packard of someone, maybe a lost brother or son? Or is Chapman just the type Packard is attracted to - young, babyfaced, optimistic? If Packard managed to get to Chapman alive, could Chapman have changed Packard’s obsession with killing Kong? What if Chapman was hurt, and Packard was torn between going after Kong or getting to the evacuation zone?

I’m also totally fine with hand waving Chapman’s family, if you’re in the mood for some “younger soldier has a crush on commanding officer” exploration or porn! Or maybe Packard is the one feeling Chapman out, seeing if his persuasions move the way Packard suspects they do. Maybe Chapman isn’t out, but he always feels things with Packard, and Packard is part of his sexual awakening. I’m totally fine with some dubcon coming into play here with the imbalanced authority!

Kong

Yes, yes, yes, tell me so much about Kong! Tell me about when he was younger with his family. Tell me about his reaction when the rest of his family were killed. Tell me about his relationship with the Iwi, do they perform any ceremonies for him, does he gift them with anything or show his protection in other ways? What was Kong really thinking when he popped his head up and saw Marlowe and Ikari for the first time?

Or, flash ahead in the Monsters Universe! How is Kong going to react to meeting Godzilla? Are they going to be buds, or are they going to battle it out? Are an older Conrad (and Weaver) involved?

As noted above, I’m all about the Conrad/Kong if you’re in the mood! I’m so interested in how their relationship would evolve as Conrad makes subsequent trips back to Skull Island. Does Kong begin to look out for him? Is Kong capable of charting time based on how often Conrad visits? Even when Conrad begins to age, can Kong always recognize him?

How would Kong react to Conrad being hurt? Would Kong be able to tell if Conrad was having a nightmare or a panic attack and can he help? Can Conrad do anything to help Kong if Kong were hurt, and would Kong have the ability to recognize Conrad trying to clean a wound - or standing in between Kong and a threat when Kong is down and unable to defend himself? If Conrad were ever hurt or in danger because of Kong, would Kong understand that guilt and fly off the handle?

The Night Manager (TV)

Requested Characters: Jonathan Pine, Richard Roper

Optional Ships: Jonathan Pine/Richard Roper, Jonathan Pine/Richard Roper/Jed Marshall

About the TV Show: Oh wow, talk about power dynamics that are right up my alley *_* I have a weakness for well-dressed beautiful people doing terrible things to other well-dressed beautiful people, and this show hit so many of my buttons. First of all, the locations are lush and gorgeous, from the chaos of mid-riot Egypt to the coastal extravagance of the Roper stronghold in Spain to the bare simplicity of Pine’s flat in Switzerland. I love so much about this show. The hotel night manager turned false criminal/undercover spy! The weapons black market! The “will he find out??” tension! The possibility that hangs over every scene with Pine and Roper made me squirm happily, I’m so here for more of them! As a quick note: I haven’t read the book, and I don’t know if I’ll get to it prior to the collection opening. But feel free to supplement with any book details :)

Fandom-Specific DNW: I’m not looking for anything post-Roper caught and behind bars. Do you want Roper to get off on a technicality and be released post-show? Cool! But I dnw “Roper’s in jail and here are the repercussions.”. I want Roper to have some semblance of control, even if Pine is in the middle of undermining it.

Jonathan Pine & Richard Roper

Since I’m just requesting the two characters, I’m putting them in the same section.

These two! I love their tension, their mind games, their mutual attraction and suspicion. Whether gen or ship, I just want more of their friction *_* I’m also here for learning more about these two before they come into contact. Pine’s war experiences. Roper’s relationship with his family and his rise to power and wealth. How does he get into this underground weapons market? At any point much earlier in his life, does he have second thoughts about what he’s doing? Or is his conscious clear from the beginning? If the latter, why? Something about his upbringing? Some “survive at all cost” instinct? Or is he such an entitled white male racist and elitist that morality literally never crosses his mind?

Outside of my DNW above, I’m here for these two at any point in their timeline! Give me more of them in Switzerland. Does Roper read into Pine’s attraction to Jed and call for the night manager late, only to request Pine service Jed in increasingly intimate ways? Is Roper sharp enough to catch the added focus Pine has on him, but he misinterprets it as attraction? Does Roper happen on Pine after his nausea episode, and the poor ill night manager is a chance for Roper to be in control, not knowing his appearance is the reason why Pine is so out of sorts in the first place. Does Roper return on a solo trip to Meisters at any point? Would Roper ever see Pine’s bare-existence flat?

So, episode 2 is pretty much my id displayed on a serving tray. Omg, that quick scene with Pine in bed pretending to sleep as Roper hovers over him! Yesssss. I’d die for more of that. Roper hovering over Pine earlier, while he’s too injured to be awake. Pulling blankets over him. Touching him through the blankets or through his clothes. Tracing fingers over the bandages still bracing his repaired nose. Getting excited by Pine’s little sounds of pain. Or, in a divergence if Roper is bedding Pine, maybe Pine knows how much Roper likes to touch him as he sleeps. Maybe he wakes up so often to Roper’s hand around him, or fingers oiled and working between his thighs.

Waive on the kidfic DNW, maybe Danny convinces Roper to come out with him and Pine one day. Is Roper charmed by how good Pine is with Danny? Or does Roper happen to see Danny reading out of his ocean life book to Pine?

Are there times when Pine gets so deep into his deception that even he starts to lose track of what’s fake and real? Maybe a canon divergence where he gets so deep he actually turns and begins to buy what Roper is selling. Can Roper play off any of Pine’s past military wounds, physical or mental? Maybe Pine has scars from his military days that he keeps hidden but Roper finds out about them anyway. Or Pine rarely has a traumatic episode, but the one time he does Roper is there - and like, Pine knows this is Roper and wrong, but Roper is also such an authoritarian, it’s easy to give up control to him, easy to be vulnerable and let Roper take care of him. I love anything where Pine is both repulsed by and attracted to Roper!

Another one of my favorite moments: the buying of the new suits, and that little tease from Roper about Pine putting on weight! *screaming* More of that! One on one tailoring, Roper re-measuring the line of Pine’s back or his legs. Or Roper making Jed measure Pine.

Or Roper likes the idea of Pine with a bit more meat on him. Constantly trying to spoil him with the most decadent foods, loving to make Pine taste something from his fork, displeased whenever Pine turns down a drink (or being incredibly intrigued on the rare occasions that Pine accepts a drink), grousing when he touches Pine’s stomach or ass and doesn’t detect any more fat on him. Or, if he joins Pine and Danny on an excursion, maybe the sight of Pine eating ice cream or some unhealthy dessert with Danny gets Roper very, very interested and pleased ^_^

I’m also here for the Roper/Pine/Jed possibilities! Maybe Jed, thinking it’s a way to soften Roper’s suspicion (or...because she feels like it :P), plants the idea of a threesome in his head. If Roper is taken aback, maybe Jed innocently claims she’s seen the way Roper looks at Pine...she thought it was what he wanted? Or! Roper is ready to call Pine on sleeping with his woman, and Pine acts guilty...not because he’s been having sex with Jed, but because (quick thinking!) Roper has caught on to Pine wanting both of them and not being able to hide it.

Does Roper catch Pine quite charismatically chatting up an older wealthy businessman like Roper - maybe he thinks Pine is trying to make him jealous. Maybe it’s working, whether Pine means it to or not.

Canon divergence where those undercover agents fuck Pine up way worse in Spain, and when he comes to with Roper’s organization he has no idea who he is, no matter how much Corky prods him for information! Without the memories of Sophie, does he buy the background Roper gives him about being part of the organization, he doesn’t remember his agreement with Angela so...this must be where he belongs? Does he legitimately fall for Roper? Or does Roper decide he and Jed are going to use sex to try to revive Pine’s memories of Switzerland? Does it work? Is this blank, pretty canvas a dream for Roper, he can design the perfect, beautiful plaything for himself?

I love all the dubcon potential here, and the twistiness of who may be playing who :DD I’m also totally fine with noncon. As above, Roper touching Pine while he’s unconscious or asleep. Or, Roper finds out who Pine really is but decides to keep him alive as his personal caution tale and plaything. Maybe drugging keeps Pine docile and agreeable when he has to play the role of Andrew Birch? Or a broken Pine replaces Jed as the pretty thing on Roper’s arm? Wherever you want to go, I’m here for it!!

The Terror (TV)

Requested Characters: Captain Francis Crozier, Commander James Fitzjames, Thomas Jopson

Optional Ships: Francis Crozier/James Fitzjames, Francis Crozier/Thomas Jopson

About the Show: One of the best and most depressing TV shows this year, or any year! To date, I haven't been able to fully rewatch episodes 9 & 10. I know what's in them, thanks, my heart still hurts from the first time around 😭 I love the fictionalized take on a historical tragedy, and I enjoyed the supernatural slant. And the character development! In episode 1, I could only recognize the three main leads and “that guy with the red hair,” lol. By the end of the season I couldn't even speak. Some characters rise up in tragically inspiring ways. Others just sink to the depths of depravity, and it all feels so painful but so true. I love how stark and haunting the landscape is, the chilling music and even more chilling silences, and I cringe over the things the camera didn't show us as much as what they did.

I'm fine receiving a gift not featuring a combination of these characters, if you're so inclined! I've given some other ideas in the prompts below.

Note: I have not read the book and may not get to before reveals. But feel free to include book details if you'd like!

Francis Crozier

What a journey, omg. One of the best, and most affecting, takes on alcohol addiction I've seen on a TV show. I love the lows we see Crozier reach, to the highs of his leadership and humanity in nightmarish circumstances. Honestly, one of my favorite characters ever, he affected me that much!

I would love to see Crozier at any part of his timeline. We get stories of Blanky and Crozier's previous Arctic overland horrors, but I would love to see more from that time period. Or anything with the Crozier & Blanky friendship, I love them!

More on the pre-expedition tension with Sir John would be great too. Like, Sir John obviously has respect for Crozier as an officer. But class standing? As a man? So much disrespect. I'm totally fine with background Crozier/Sophia but would prefer it not be the center of the story.

More on Crozier's alcohol addiction too! Did it have a starting point or event? A closer look at Crozier going through withdrawal, or being in that moment when he realizes Blanky's lost leg is primarily his fault.

Tell me more about Crozier's life post-season. Does he grow old with the Inuit tribe? Is the Terror the last time he ever speaks to an Englishman? You have my permission to build off any historical accounts or just make stuff up, I'm good with it!

Speaking of imaginations run wild...want to come up with a happier ending for Crozier? One where he and at least a few members of the crew get back to England in one piece? I'm down!

James Fitzjames

Speaking of character development o_o In episode 1, this guy seems like the most cocky asshole there is. Exaggerating his China story, bemoaning how Crozier lost all life’s joy. But it's all a front to cover his own embarrassment about his upbringing.

More on his past would be great - and again, feel free to fictionalize! Is James’ father still alive? Did they have any kind of relationship? Did James ever directly confront his father about his mother's identity and it turned out badly? Did anyone know James wasn't 100% English?

What was James and Sir John's first meeting like? Given James making an embarrassing matter for Sir John's family go away, was there ever any early tension between them, or is James’ ego thanks to Sir John's over-inflation? I'm cool with some one-sided Sir John/James hero worship if you want to go that route!

What was James and Crozier's first meeting like? Super sarcastic and bitter? Did Sir John introduce them? I ship them (til death do them part 😭😭), so any forbidden/taboo mid-1800s feelings or tension you want to give me is great! Or just gen is awesome too!

In the early days is James just as fascinated by Crozier as he is annoyed? Does he begin to harp on Crozier's drinking and melancholia because every time Crozier belittles James, it brings up all his old insecurities? Canon divergence where James blurts out his past way earlier to Crozier in a moment of anger!

Give me more of Crozier being inappropriate with James after a few drinks! Either authority-wise or sexually. Does James go that way, and Crozier's drunken advances feel like Crozier is mocking him even more? Or James looks in on Crozier during his withdrawal much to Crozier's chagrin.

More of Crozier tending to James as he's sick and in pain. More of Crozier in that moment with James in the tent after the act 😭

Also, happiness!!! Doggone it, let these two be happy for two seconds! Whether it be a quiet moment together in the captain's tent, some canon divergence where James isn't so bad off with his illness, or somehow these two survive with the Inuit. There's no way they would be back in London warm and curled up together by a fire or stretched out in bed watching the first snowfall of winter through windows but I don't care, I want it anyway!!! Can they soothe each other's nightmares and find peace? If you really want to hurt me, maybe Crozier has dreams about being back in England with James after James dies, or life with Crozier is the last thing James sees before he dies.

I'm also totally cool with the supernatural coming into play. Does James remember his final moment with Francis rubbing the poison down his throat, and then he's waking up warm and safe nestled in Francis' bed in London? Or is James in a time loop, given another shot to help sway Sir John to not test the Arctic winter? Is a time looped, past Francis caught off guard by James' affection??

And for real, sex! I want pwps for days. I want to know who tops and how much they kiss and how much foreplay, and Francis to laugh a little when James goes so shaky and warm over being held down and just *silent screaming* PORN!

Thomas Jopson

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

As with Crozier and Fitzjames above, I'd love to read more about Jopson’s upbringing. His mom's situation is beyond tragic, more about that period of Jopson's life, his reaction to it, and growth from it would be wonderful. Is the situation with his mom why he seems to find so much joy in serving, even when the tasks are unpleasant? Or is that disposition caused by something else?

Also, more Crozier & Jopson or Crozier/Jopson! When did they first meet? Was Jopson already fascinated with Crozier before being assigned to his post? Is he a bit nervous when he takes Crozier's post because of just how attractive he finds Crozier? Was it one larger incident that made Crozier trust Jopson, or a succession of smaller discretionary moments?

Did Crozier ever come on to Jopson drunk? Is Jopson so in love with Crozier that he allows it, then is heartbroken when Crozier seems not to remember? (Maybe Crozier let's it slip while in withdrawal that he does remember? And he expects Jopson to hate him for it, but Jopson loves him still 😀)

More of Jopson taking care of withdrawal!Crozier or Crozier taking care of ill!Jopson! Crozier privately congratulates Jopson on his promotion to leftenant? Jopson privately congratulates Crozier on his sobriety?

Also - omg fix it please!!!!! Let Crozier get back to Jopson in time! Let Jopson at least understand Crozier didn't abandon him before he dies! Can Crozier save Jopson somehow? A completely implausible happy ending where Jopson and Crozier can be warm together in London or with the Inuit? Or, if Crozier gets back to Jopson in time, can Jopson's dying image be reaching Crozier's end of the table and Crozier taking his hand or something?? *sobs* Is Jopson's afterlife being welcomed by Francis and being loved and belonging? Does Jopson wake up from the cold Arctic in Francis' bed, and he doesn't know if he's dead, dreaming, or if this is a new chance to live?

Is Jopson insistent on pleasuring and doting on Francis as they make love? If Francis insists on worshipping his body with his mouth and hands, in Jopson near tears, he's so not used to being cared for in this way??
