This is the first ship I thought of when I saw AUEx running again this year XD Crossing universes with actors who play different characters is such catnip for me. And MIB!verse, where alien invasions and all different manner of space royalty and sorcery are possible, screams for tying into the MCU. I’m totally here for any AU where Loki mistakes Aich for Thor, or where Aich maybe *is* Thor without his memories. I’m also totally here for Loki being an Asgardian or Jotunn royal who requests Aich as his escort because Aich reminds him of someone. Give me everything!!

MiB: Being neuralised multiple times has unforeseen sexual side effects
** Aich is supposed to be leading around this important royal from Jotunheim or Asgard. He’s not supposed to be dealing with a magnetic sex pollen-like pull to the MiB’s guest. Or this latest issue about orgasming at a drop of a hat.
** Or, if Loki and Aich get into a more compromising situation, Loki is a bit confused. He’s had sex with mortals before. Mortals...don’t usually do whatever thing.

MiB: Paris isn't the first time High T neuralised H
** Maybe the MiB had an agreement with Odin. If Aich really is Thor, they would neuralize him as much as it took, and they would keep him safe. But it’s made Aich act really weird and...not Thor-like.
** Or! Tea doesn’t like Aich’s relationship with Loki. Loki is surprised on his next visit to Earth that the agent who took him around last time doesn’t remember him.
** Or! Loki sees some of the side effects of Aich’s many neuralizes - the gaps in memory, the nightmares, the glazing over, the confusion.

MiB: The MiB is a high end extraterrestrial escort service
** Maybe because Aich looks like Thor, or maybe because Loki thinks he can mess with this human, Prince Loki personally selects Aich as escort for this visit to Earth.
** Or! Loki specially requests Aich as an escort off Earth!
** Or, Loki think it would be hilarious to stash his memory-less brother in a Midgardian escort services for extraterrestrial visitors. He never guessed how...well amnesia!Thor would take to the escort life.

** Yes! I love that Aich already has some behavioral weirdness and memory loss in his history, it’s perfect for a Thor banished to Earth without his powers or knowledge of who he is. Maybe the MiB connection is coincidental, and Loki is all *eyeroll* about Thor finding some other Earth-protecting society to be a part of. Maybe some of what Thor faces as Aich, Loki throws at him. Maybe even Loki isn’t expecting the Hive or what happens to Thor as Aich. Maybe Loki decides to pop down for a visit, and he’s amazed that Thor really doesn’t remember him AND how different this Thor is!

Crossover: Team from One World Tasked with Containing Magical Artifact from Other World
** I can definitely see this. The Asgardians were willing to give the Aether to The Collector, giving Midgardians on Earth some magical artifact to maintain seems pretty realistic. Maybe the Asgardians have entrusted MiB with protecting the tesseract or the Aether and Loki decides to drop in and get it?

MCU: Thor loses his memories in Thor 1 as well as his powers
** Thor without his memories = Aich at MiB!

ALL: Canon Character Death Evaded
** This would be fun, MiB playing some role in helping keep Loki alive after Thanos :D Maybe Loki is certain he died only to wake up in some Midgardian medical facility with an odd Thor look alike keeping him under surveillance?
** Or! Anytime Loki evades death, he’s always popping into MiB. Aich loves taking the guy for drinks and getting his ‘I died again’ stories!

ALL: Canon is 100x more gothic and foreboding
** Oooh yeah, with all the creepy space and dimensional/magic shit Loki and the Men in Black can get into, I’m all for turning this crossover dark and scary! Give me possession and blood magic and death curses and eldritch horrors and cosmic craziness and alien horrors! I would especially love seeing these two wander into something that even makes Loki disconcerted, but Aich doesn’t realize how bad a situation is until it’s too late >:D

ALL: character is amnesiac version of another character from a different fandom
** Covered above already, but yes, this!!!!

ALL: Dimension travel to a significantly diverged timeline
** Some would say Thor potentially turning into Aich is a significantly diverged timeline that Loki can stumble into ;) But there’s more room to play too. Maybe the Hive doesn’t use Tea for cover, overruns Earth, and Loki stumbles into Aich as part of a last line of Earth’s defenders? Maybe, in opposite day fashion, Aich is disgraced because he couldn’t stop the Hive vs in the movie?
** Or, a timeline where Aich has the Hive inside him?
** Or in Avengers 1, Loki infiltrates the MiB and turns Aich into one of his mindless scepter followers?
** Or the Asgardians make it to Earth in the Statesman and the Men in Black are supposed to help them assimilate?

** What it says on the tin! I’m also cool if Loki being with Aich is a form of him being with Thor. Like, he travels to this alternate dimension where his brother is actually a mortal working for this silly Midgardian extraterrestrial welcome group.

ALL: For a Small Subsection of the Population Regular Pollen Acts as Sex Pollen
** Poor Loki XD He probably has no idea what’s happening to him, but Aich sees it all the time! Happens a lot to travelers who don’t stop on Earth much. And he’s assigned to help, so don’t you worry ;) I’d love if Aich maybe...underestimates how strong Loki is, especially hyped up on sex pollen!
** Or! As a twist, maybe Aich is the one with the sex pollen problem. Maybe Loki knows this will be a problem because it was always a problem for Thor, if Aich = Thor. So Loki...casually makes a surprise visit to Earth on one of the highest pollen count days in spring.
** Or! Aich isn’t Thor, Aich just has a rare condition. And of course it crops up on the day when he’s supposed to be entertaining this very powerful and dangerous sorcerer from Asgard, who also happens to be wildly attractive…

** I’m sure there’s some threat out there that both Loki and the MiB could face. The Hive? Like, maybe instead of erasing Aich’s memory, the Hive take him prisoner? And Loki, who doesn’t much care about Midgard but also doesn’t like forced assimilation like the Hive, is there already. +1 if Aich totally knows who Loki is from all the on-the-job training and has a geek out moment, lol! Thanos could be an option too, or any villain you want!

ALL: one character is held captive by the other
** Yum, I love captive scenarios. So much room for tense interrogations and snarking and hurting and - maybe later comforting? MiB would of course be monitoring for outside threats, of which Loki would definitely be one. Maybe Aich gets assigned to interrogation or monitoring duty.
** Or! Loki happens on Aich, does not understand why this odd creature is wearing Thor’s face, and kidnaps him to get more information!

All: Sex Pollened by a Villain
** Mmm yeah. Maybe by the time the Men in Black track down Loki, he’s already pumped full of the stuff.
** Or! it’s something that gets used on Aich who happens to be between Loki and some other threat. And Loki really should let the silly human suffer the consequences of sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong, but…
** Or! Loki uses it on Aich so he can use this human who looks so much like his brother for awhile.

ALL: Sex Worker AU
** MiB is a sex club for space! A visitor can preselect their choice to meet them on arrival, if they so wish. Loki has never bothered with this practice, humans are disgusting. But! There’s a new face in the digital booklet this week, and...hmm. Maybe.

ALL: The primary cultural purpose of all superpowers/magic/Force-using is for banging
** Outside of the weird outfits, Aich would never know Loki isn’t from Earth! He looks like a human, he feels like a human. But when they have sex...holy shit, not human.

ALL: Westworld (TV) fusion
** MiB London is actually a Westworld-type fantasy escape world for the universe’s most powerful and rich. As little regard as Loki holds for Midgard, he’s curious. Especially about that one who looks so much like Thor…

Game of Thrones (TV)

Ship: Tyrion Lannister/Jon Snow
Three episodes in, this was going to be THE SHIP of GOT for me. Then they didn’t see each other again until Season 7 ;_; I know opinions on S8 are...mixed, to say the least, but I did like that these two got to have some meaningful conversations. I love size difference ships. That + the age and experience difference destroy me. Tyrion, despite his physical obstacles, is so experienced in the ways of lovemaking, where Jon is...not. AU-wise, sheesh, there are so. many. good GOT freeforms in the tagset! Game of Thrones is such a rich, dense world, and one changed action can have so many ramifications. I’m hoping one of those ramifications could be these two hooking up ;)

GOT: Daenerys doesn't become The Mad Queen and torch King's Landing
** I’m not saying the outcome of this needs to be Dany on the Iron Throne, though it certainly could be! But I’d love to see a future where Tyrion and Jon could feel at peace for believing in the right person and the right cause, and maybe the eventual happiness that could come from that?
** Maybe Dany becomes Queen and truly changes Westeros for the better?
** Maybe Westeros is no longer united, maybe Cersei is able to hold out longer in the Red Keep.

GOT: Daenerys succeeds in taking the Iron Throne
** Kinda going along with the first one? Dany succeeds in taking the Iron Throne. Maybe she does this without becoming the Mad Queen, and peace finally comes to Westeros. Does Tyrion remain as Dany’s hand? Does Jon choose to stay in King’s Landing? If he chooses to return North, do he and Tyrion get one final night together?
** Or - maybe the Iron Throne is still taken by burning down King’s Landing. Is this a ‘verse where Tyrion and Jon see each other and have their secret tryst in the dark with their cowardice? Because even now they still support Dany?
** Or! If Tyrion still defies Dany, does Jon not kill Dany but he finds a way to get Tyrion out? Are they both in exile? Or do they get a moment together before Jon tells Tyrion to run?

GoT: Jaime and Cersei’s Relationship Is Exposed By Bran In Winterfell
** As bad as I feel for Jaime and Cersei in this scenario, imagining the weird-ass place it would leave Tyrion cracks me up. I honestly don’t even know what he would do - would he stay in Winterfell looking for his siblings’ release? Would he be locked up too? Would he find a whorehouse to shack up in and drink a lot of booze?
** I’m in love with Jon and Tyrion’s first interaction in episode 1. It’s so baiting and full of sarcasm and grumbling. And I love any scenario that would drag this out. Like, if Tyrion is imprisoned also in Winterfell or Jon happens on Tyrion waiting out the political shitstorm (and also probably drunk), what would that meeting be like? Is Jon expecting Tyrion to be shocked at what Bran revealed? And Tyrion is just like “bitch please, do you know my family?” XD idk, this just seems fun.

GOT: Jon becomes King of Westeros
** I’m cool however you want to make Jon King of Westeros! Is it by blood with him still killing Dany? Does the truth come out about his lineage? Do the forces of the North install him after defeating everyone else? Is it a peaceful break with Dany? (Somehow? ...Yeah I don’t know how it would work either, but…?) But yeah, King of Westeros! Does he name Tyrion his Hand?
** Or is Tyrion an advisor in his court in another way?
** Or does Tyrion resume lordship of one of the other realms, and he sees Jon from time to time? Does Jon prefer to rule from the North with Tyrion installed in the South? I have so many questions! And again, I love the idea of seeing these two at a moment of peace. No threats, probably a lot of regrets, some wine shared between them. Or maybe a bad joke about being the first dwarf to bed a king that should go nowhere turns into a completely unexpected invitation to Jon’s bed after his coronation?? :D

GOT: Jon decides not to kill Daenerys
** Maybe a bittersweet moment of farewell, Jon helping Tyrion to escape since he decided not to kill Dany?
** Or is Tyrion still destined to die, but Jon stops at his cell one last time to say goodbye?
** Or maybe this is a ‘verse where Tyrion also can’t betray Dany no matter how much he’s despairing about what she’s done, and Jon and Tyrion get together in secrecy and grief.

GoT: Jon fails to kill Daenerys
** Omg, they better run! Jon and Tyrion on the run from King’s Landing after Jon fails to kill Dany, eep. Out in the wilderness with enemies at every turn. Tyrion not being good in the wilderness under the best of conditions, and super, super recognizable. Jon refusing to leave him behind. Eep!

GOT: Jon Snow does not commit to the Night's Watch and leaves with Tyrion
** I’ve wanted this AU for a long time, it’s so fun. I really love the early interaction between Tyrion and Jon. They’re the moments when Jon starts growing up and realizes that the dream he’s had his whole life is a sham. Duty and obligation bid him to stay, but I’m so delighted by the thought of a defiant Jon Snow being like, I’m out! And staying with the Lannister who actually told him the truth about what the Night Watch was. Setting something in the moment Jon makes that decision would be so cool!
** Or, it would be interesting to see what the journey back would be like. Jon and Tyrion staying at inns. Robb’s startlement when Tyrion and Jon stop back at Winterfell. Maybe Robb wants Jon to stay, but Jon decides to keep going to King’s Landing.
** Do they ever meet up with Catelyn? As much as Catelyn resents Jon, and her anger over what she thinks Tyrion did to Bran, that would be a powder keg!!!
** Or do Tyrion and Jon make it to the Lannister armies? And Tywin is like, wtf are you doing with this bastard Stark? Tyrion insists on Jon losing his virginity before battle, and Jon doesn’t say no???
** Jon finding out Ned is dead by Tyrion’s side, eep.
** Jon in King’s Landing with Tyrion as Joffrey’s hand, seeing how Joffrey treats Sansa...eeep eeep eeep.
** Jon in a Bronn role protecting Tyrion...AND a Shae role behind closed doors? Dying! So much fun!!!

GOT: King "Night King" the Night King wins and is King of the 7 Kingdoms
** Eep! This could be so interesting, opportunity for Jon and Tyrion to be closer in those final moments of humanity. Do pockets of humans survive? Do they still try to put up any fight, or do they hide? Burrow themselves in caves or in the remote wild, anywhere they think the dead might not be able to cross? Are they on a desperate journey on foot, trying to make it to the shore?
** Maybe there’s a “last night alive” scenario where the dead are upon them, but they have one standing locked door and a case full of the best wine in Westeros?
** Or! would there be any horrible reason why the Night King would keep humans alive? As a trophy? To live in constant reminder of their failure? idk, something equally horrible?

GOT: Magic is more commonplace but only nobles are allowed to wield it
** TYRION WITH MAGIC. I WANT IT. What would his magic be? Does his Father look down on him for using it, because even though he’s a noble it’s unbecoming of a dwarf? But Tyrion is like *middle finger* and does it anyway?
** Or! Jon is never allowed to use his magic in public because he’s a bastard. But Tyrion is all, screw that, let’s see. And he keeps baiting and baiting until Jon finally shows his power. And whatever magic Jon has, it’s beautiful. Even Tyrion has never seen anything quite like it.

GOT: Tyrion is a Stark and Ned's brother
** Admittedly, I love this tag because it would add a shred of the family forbidden quality to a Tyrion/Jon tryst. Maybe Jon never sees Tyrion because he does not live in the North, except when he accompanies Robert Baratheon’s troops to Winterfell. As a side note, Ned and Tyrion as brothers could be so jokey and bantery and full of affection!
** Or, maybe Ned feels a little burned by Tyrion staying away from the North so much. Don’t feel like you have to actually include any of that relationship, but if you’d like to give a taste I’m game! I’m also so here for the illicit flirtation, and Jon feeling super uncomfortable...but kinda into it ^.^

ALL: Major Canon Location is haunted
** So many beautiful locations in Westeros perfect for ghost stories. The Wall, and Jon and Tyrion go to explore this supposed haunted location together.
** Or Tyrion has some reason to go with Jon beyond the Wall where ghosts are said to roam among white walkers and wildlings.
** The Crypt at Winterfell. Maybe on the first voyage up. Tyrion asks Jon specifically to show him the crypt because he wants to see these famed ghosts for himself. Or wherever! More ghosts in Westeros, ghosts are cool :D

ALL: Sex pollen
** So, from Winterfell to the Wall I’m sure there were all kinds of exotic plants… That’s all I’m saying ;) I’m cool with both being sex pollened, or one being pollened and the other having to help out.

ALL: Sex Slave AU
** Ooooh. I’m all for this being a terrible ‘worst case scenario.’ Like, in a situation where the Starks are taken down earlier, maybe Jon isn’t already at the wall. Maybe he’s set to be put to death, but Tyrion declares that he intends to purchase the boy for his personal detail instead. That detail to include attending all of Tyrion’s needs.
** Or, imps are sold into sexual slavery. And the first time Jon sees Tyrion at auction, he just doesn’t like the little guy being kicked about. He doesn’t realize what he’s starting when he throws a half-hearted bid in on a Lannister.
** Or! Same - bastards are sold into sexual slavery. Tyrion loves his whorehouses, but not so much the slavery part. But this one bastard up at auction is so pretty and so feisty looking.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ship: Steve Rogers/Thor
Ahhh, I’ve come to enjoy these two so much *.* I love the common ground these two can find in being mighty warriors with so much responsibility heaped on their shoulders. And I love how that clashes with the fact that they couldn’t be more different. Steve’s ally and friend is an alien warrior-king from another planet, that’s pretty amazing! And with the rich history in MCU, there’s so many other fun ways they could have met. Earlier in Steve’s timeline, or even pre-serum?? Or Steve could meet a Thor who isn’t Prince of Asgard, or doesn’t remember that he is? I’m here for whatever!

MCU: The only people who remember the snap are those involved with bringing everyone back
** I love the bonding potential of this one! Thor and Steve struggling with not only the events of Endgame, but with the fact that no one who blipped away remembers any of it.

MCU: Thor does the final snap in Endgame
** I’m cool with any way you want to take this. Maybe it’s happy, and Thor manages to bring back Loki, and/or Heimdall, and/or more of his people and Steve finally gets to see Thor at peace. Maybe Thor is in such a broken mental state that something goes terribly wrong.
** Or Thor is permanently injured physically or mentally by doing the snap. Maybe he loses his powers and becomes human. Maybe he loses his hold on reality. Maybe reality as they know it breaks. I’m cool with any way you want to take this!

MCU: Thor loses his memories in Thor 1 as well as his powers
** Steve stumbles on Thor without his powers or his memories, and he has no idea who he’s meeting. Maybe it’s a random meeting, Thor gets dropped in New York instead and he’s working some random job.
** Or maybe SHIELD knows who Thor is and Steve is tasked with trying to crack Thor’s psyche. Maybe Nick Fury hooks them up because who better to get a guy who has no idea where he is or what’s going on feeling comfortable than Steve? :P

MCU: Undoing the snap undoes the five year jump
** Such an interesting tag! Does Thor’s body go back to how it was in Infinity War? Is Steve maybe a little sad for the change? If the five year jump is no more, does that mean Natasha comes back to life, and Thor and Steve have a reason to celebrate? Are there any bad things that can come from the five years going away?

ALL: Annihilation AU
** Yessss. The Shimmer sure seems like an Avenger-level event. Steve and Thor have so much freaking baggage, I can’t even begin to imagine what going inside the Shimmer would do to them. Do they make it out alive? Are they still really them?
** I’m also cool if the Avengers (or just Steve and Thor) come together entirely BECAUSE of The Shimmer. Like, there are no Avengers without the Shimmer. But the world needed some line of defense to try to stop it from spreading.

ALL: Bakery
** I don’t know why I find the idea of Thor being a fabulous baker and owning or working at a bakery so freaking charming :P He’s such a bull in a china shop about everything else, it’s just so. cute. Maybe in the “Thor loses his memories in Thor 1” idea, Steve first runs into Thor working at a bakery.
** Or when Steve visits New Asgard, instead of finding Thor ruling his people, he finds Thor running a bakery and trying to cover all his problems with smiles and sweets instead of facing them head on.
** I am also totally cool if you want to make this no-Marvel whatsoever and plunk Thor or Steve in a bakery where they charm the other with delightful treats.
** Or! Maybe one or the other is a terrible baker. Like, they make delicious tasting things, but everything they make is so ugly and misshapen and terrible, lol! But it’s so endearing, the other keeps coming back.

All: Character or characters lose their powers
** Thor becomes human? Steve loses his super strength? Steve somehow loses the serum power and reverts to his smaller pre-serum self? If Steve reverts to his pre-serum self, is Thor afraid to have sex with him, thinking he’ll bring Steve harm? Does he get ultra-protective?
** If Thor loses his powers, does Steve have to try to convince him that he can’t rush into trouble headfirst anymore? Maybe Thor is trying to overcompensate for being human and gets himself really badly hurt?

ALL: Characters Meet at a Different Point in Their Canon
** Maybe in some kind of Wonder Woman-esque turn, Thor chooses to go to Midgard during WWII and help and he meets Captain America.
** Or some time heist shenanigans require Thor to meet Steve in Brooklyn before Steve gets the serum.
** Steve meets Thor when he’s powerless on Earth in Thor 1.
** Or some time heist shenanigans make Steve end up on Asgard in Thor 1 and meet Thor.

ALL: Dimension travel to a significantly diverged timeline
** You can go so many places here *_* A dimension where Earth falls in Avengers 1 or 2 and the Avengers go in hiding.
** Steve meeting a Thor who never regains the power of Mjolnir, or who is power swapped or role swapped with Loki.
** Thor meets a Steve who never takes the serum.
** Thor has to help the Avengers take on Steve, who is the Winter Soldier.

ALL: Dimension travel to a universe where the characters are in a relationship
** What it says on the tin ;) Not a requirement, but it would be interesting to see a dimension where Steve winds up on Asgard with Thor or is an Asgardian warrior like Thor. Steve on Asgard is a kink that I apparently have!

** This is so inspired! If this is Steve, maybe he’s learned since taking the serum that pollen is his one weakness and he usually is good about quarantining himself on high pollen days. But he doesn’t quite manage to that one day, and he already has a bit of a thing for Thor…
** Or! If it’s Thor, maybe Steve tries to play it off as Thor having allergies, until he realizes that Thor isn’t feeling bad because of any allergy he’s ever seen...

ALL: Hero(es) Become the Villain(s)
** Steve is the Winter Soldier!
** Thor is a child of Thanos and invades Earth, either by madness or because he’s serving Thanos to stop Thanos from...destroying Asgard? Hurting Loki or someone else in captivity?
** I’m also here for some scenario where Thor takes part in Civil War and is convinced to join Tony’s side and fight reluctantly against Steve.

All: Met while captured together
** Maybe some alt-Avengers 1 where Steve gets captured by Loki and finds Loki already has his brother on lockdown?
** Steve meets Thor earlier, on one of Steve’s first assignments from Fury?
** Or it’s WWII, and Steve has a plan in motion that requires him getting captured to be behind enemy lines. And Thor happens to be in a neighboring cell, perhaps with his own plan? Whatever, I love this trope!

ALL: Non-human character is/becomes human
** I’m all for Thor having to come to terms with being human. I have a few scenarios above already - maybe Thor becomes human as a result of doing the snap in Endgame.
** Maybe Steve meets Thor in Thor 1 after Thor is sent to Earth without his powers.
** Or, maybe this is an AU where Thor wants to help the humans in WWII but to do so he has to give up his title and power and be banished from Asgard.
** Or, maybe just by his own grief, Thor’s power fades away in the five year period between IW and Endgame. Maybe part of Thor’s weight gain is that he’s slowly losing his powers and becoming human out of depression.

My OTP of the moment, I will never get enough of these two! I love how different they are, and how none of that makes a difference to Thor from their first meeting. To Thor, Rocket is as capable of being a noble leader as anyone, and Thor wants such a creature to join him on his quest. Rocket takes to Thor so much faster than we’ve seen him take to anyone in the MCU. AUs with these two could be so fun. If you go with in-universe AUs, the MCU timeline is so rich, these two meeting at another point or under different circumstances is intriguing! I’m also here for seeing their characters in entirely different settings.

** This tag presents so much opportunity for whump and misdirected frustration and anger, I love it :D Maybe Rocket is the only one who notices Thor is acting weird beyond the anger and grief they’re all feeling. Does Rocket think Thor is crazy? Does Thor think he’s crazy too?
** Maybe the more Rocket tries to convince Thor that Loki is dead and he needs to move on, the more agitated and withdrawn Thor gets?

So, to be honest this ship was never a huge draw for me. Until! That silly little 1 minute moment in Endgame where 2012!Thor helped revive 2012!Tony. There was an affection in that moment that I hadn’t really felt from them...like, ever! Between Thor awkwardly asking about Tony’s “chest machine,” and that jubilant “yes!” when Thor realizes his probably-dumb plan to revive Tony with a shock from Mjolnir worked ;D It made me see their relationship in a whole new light! If you decide to go with one of the in-world AU prompts, I’m totally cool with AU 2012 Thor and Tony as a starting point.

I loved this dynamic so much in Infinity War. It moved so fast between contentious banter and protectiveness, and I loved both sides! Now that it’s taken on a more tragic slant with Endgame, I’m even more interested. But don’t feel like you have to give me Endgame divergence fic for these two! I’m happy with a straight up AU, or an MCU AU that has nothing to do with Endgame. Given the high rolling circles these two walked in, I salivate over any opportunity for them to meet earlier in canon. Or just in another dimension entirely.

It would be so freaking painful if that injury was something that would strongly impact his ability to keep up his regular engineering activities. Maybe he loses his eye sight, or his tongue and he can’t speak. Or he loses an arm and has to design a technical prosthetic. Or something that gets in the way of Tony being Tony Stark.
** However, I’m also so here for Strange being the one to have a permanent injury. Given what he’s been through with his hands, this is just one more hurdle to overcome - but maybe he’s surprised to see that Tony is at his door with prosthetic options or other technology to get his life back on track.

** This is so tragic for the survivors who helped bring everyone back, I love it. I’m cool if this is a divergence where Strange was not blipped and he can commiserate with Tony after the fact.

** Yes please! With resurrection fics, I always love to know if there’s a catch for bringing someone back to life. Like, what does Strange have to give up for Tony to come back. And was this Strange’s plan from the beginning, did he see himself resurrecting Tony when he was future-walking? Or was it Strange who decided he wanted to bring Tony back after the fact?

MCU: Tony Stark survives the Endgame snap
** I love this, especially because when Tony wakes up he’ll think Strange is such a dick! First, refusing to give any clues as to what was coming in the one winning outcome. Two, when Strange does give that one clue, it totally makes Tony think he’s going to die. He makes peace with it, he’s cool with it, then wham - he’s waking back up in a hospital afterwards with Strange by his side. He’ll be so mad XD

All: A Is a Ghost Only B Can See
** The pain would be so good here! I’d love this from either direction. Maybe Tony can see Strange constantly after Infinity War. At first, he thinks it’s bad dreams spilling over to when he’s awake, or hallucinations post-nearly dying at the beginning of Endgame. But Strange never goes away.
** Or, post-Endgame Strange sees Tony’s ghost, and it’s a constant reminder of the cost to win.

ALL: Characters become friends/allies earlier than canon
** Yeah, I would have loved more time for this relationship to build and grow! I love the idea of these two being snarky and contentious if they were to meet earlier in their timelines, but I also love them kinda getting along in a banter-filled high testosterone way.
** Or, flipside, if you want to play with the timeline to have them be actual allies earlier, that would be fun! Like, maybe Tony tries to look up Strange to see to Rhodes’ wounds after Civil War, only to find out Stephen Strange is out of medicine entirely and practicing...magic now.

ALL: Characters Meet at a Different Point in Their Canon
** Given Tony and Strange’s high society pasts, it makes complete sense to me that they would meet earlier in their timelines. Maybe they meet at some charity function or industry event. Maybe Strange, whose never met Tony before, gets invited to a Stark party. i just love the idea of Tony having an idea of Strange in his head as this polished, douchebag doctor and next seeing Strange on the streets of New York dressed like he’s on Game of Thrones XD

ALL: Dead character is resurrected
** Tony is the obvious choice here post-Endgame. But I’m really intrigued by Strange being resurrected at the end of IW too. Either by Thanos, who wants answers on the one winning future Strange saw. Or by Tony and the rest of the Avengers. If it’s by Thanos, maybe Tony and the others don’t realize Strange is alive until that attempt on the Stones at the beginning of Endgame. Maybe they show up, and there are two lifeforms on Thanos’ planet - Thanos himself, and a captive Strange?

** Perfect for Strange ;) I’d love something a little bittersweet, like - if he survives at the end of IW and has time to second guess the futures he saw, would he try to find a non-time stone way to future-walk to see if there’s any way to win while sparing Tony’s life? Maybe this is in tandem with Strange and Tony growing closer emotionally. Is Tony a little worried about Strange going off the handle?

** There are so many ways you can go here, and I’m down! Travel to a timeline where Tony and Stephen met pre-IW?

** After Endgame, Tony’s ghost is tied to Strange. As an ethereal being, he’s able to see threats coming for Strange and for the world before even Strange can see them. That makes them a pretty good team, once they both manage to figure out what this is!
** However, I am also here for “ghost trying to help the living” = sexual help, and Tony making it his ghost!mission to make sure a secluded, post-blip Strange is getting off.

ALL: Hero(es) Become the Villain(s)
** Some AU where Strange’s worldview comes into clash with Tony’s would be great! Maybe with some time futzing, Strange is already master of the mystic arts when Ultron happens, and the Kamar-Taj are supposed to keep Stark and his technology in check.

** I just…lol! With these two cranky assholes, one or the other entering a surprise romcom and finding themselves getting wooed by the other would be incredible.

** Haunted Sanctum! With all the magic artifacts in there, I can believe a few old wizard ghosts are hanging around inside too. Are any of them threatening? Can Strange see them but Tony can’t, or vice versa?

** This would be so delightful! Obsessive genius Tony Stark drowning himself in the study of magic. Disgraced doctor Stephen Strange engineering some revolutionary device to steady his hands enough that he can throw himself into the creation of defense systems and security technology. Here for it!

Ship: Agent C/Agent H | Henry
What a delightful surprise this was :D I have a habit of latching onto sniping, jealous assholes and all their undercover tension. The arc of these two was so freaking satisfying, and I’m totally here for more! Some divergence with these two could be hella fun. Maybe Aich is the jealous paper-pusher demoted after his attitude change post-Paris, and Cee is High Tea’s star pupil rising in the ranks? Or Aich being neuralized leads to some...unanticipated sexual side effects? Or AU where MIB is an alien escort service, and debriefing Aich post-mission means Cee having to hear all about getting fucked this way and that by all manner of extraterrestrial clientele? Here for whatever!

Ship: Agent M | Molly Wright/Agent H | Henry
I knew I was going to love these two, and yes, I love them! They had such an easy rapport. I love how Em can be both completely disillusioned with Aich, but still look up to him. And, while Aich is a bit of a jerk about Em wanting to help, he never downplays her strengths or sells her out to save his own skin. I’m all for any canon divergence that lets them stay together post-movie!! Or feel free to play around in the MIB universe - maybe make it more of a horror show and forboding. Em thinks she’s getting the truth of the universe, and in fact she’s getting one endless nightmare.

Ship: High T/Agent H | Henry
I grinned when I saw the “Everything is the same in canon except one person is a tentacle monster wearing a skin suit” tag because...hi, this ship XD I sure hope my fellow lovers of surprise tentacle porn will join me on the blissful journey that is these T/H! What Tea becomes, and what he can do to Aich because of it, is total catnip for me. But trust, I’m also totally here for anything pre-Hive that lets the relationship between Tea and Aich be...more than father/son? And just a note, please don’t feel like pre-Hive Tea needs to be a boy scout. If you want to make this an AU or canon divergence where Tea takes advantage of his relationship with Aich, I’m totally cool with that!

** So, MIB International was way too lighthearted to go into some of the insinuations on Aich and what being neuralized did to him. But it definitely opened the door for some fun stuff, either on the angsty side or sexy side, and I’m here for it! Does Aich become like his own form of sex pollen for the people around him?
** Or does his own sex life become really weird? Multiple orgasms in a row? Needing to go for hours and hours just to come once? Blacking out multiple times during sex? Orgasming with next to no stimulation - maybe even orgasming at work from a look or a casual touch?

** I’m so here for this! Do the MiB have a good relationship with the Flerken? An uneasy-yet-friendly relationship?
** Does Cee think Aich hates him when Aich assigns him “cat sitting duties”, when really Aich just trusts him the most?
** If a Flerken shows up in MiB London Headquarters does a Code Red go into effect? Is this something Em deals with on her first day in London, and she’s so confused over why people are hiding from this harmless looking cat?
** Or, maybe Aich has a cat allergy and Tea doesn’t want to hear it when Aich tells him he can’t watch the Flerken. So we end up with this Flerken standoff, the Flerken staring at Aich from his desk and Aich doing his damndest not to sneeze and piss the thing off...

MiB: Paris isn't the first time High T neuralised H
** I’m here for Tea not being the prized father figure Aich makes him out to be in the movie. Maybe Tea has the Hive in him long before Paris, and he’s been manipulating Aich from the start?
** Maybe Tea comes on to Aich sexually and then erases the evidence without a trace?
** Or some of Tea’s “mentoring” moments with Aich in the field are dangerous and don’t follow MiB protocol?
** Or! Tea just has a...shameful love of how Aich looks in those few blank moments after being neuralized. He knows it’s wrong, but in those few seconds he can get Aich to agree to do anything. And when Aich is done, Tea can neuralize him again with no evidence left behind and no harm done.
** If this is a tag for C/H or M/H, I’d love for Cee or Em to start to get those hints that things with Tea weren’t as loving and charming as Aich would have them believe. Maybe he has nightmares. Maybe there are wide gaps in his memory surrounding why exactly Tea was a father figure to him. Maybe some of the memories start creeping back to Aich when he’s awake, and Cee or Em have to see the physical and mental toll it’s taking.

MiB: The MiB is a high end extraterrestrial escort service
** If we matched on High T/H, I love the idea of Tea having to scout Aich as the perfect escort service material. Maybe bedding Aich is part of the training by Tea. Maybe Tea does personal physical examinations of Aich to not only check of injuries and mistreatment, but also to make sure all...equipment is in order. Maybe this is all supposed to be just business, but Aich gets so hot and thrilled when it’s time for those appointments.
** If we matched on M/H, I’d imagine poor Em would be so disillusioned! She thought she was getting the secrets of the universe, and it turns out the secrets of the universe are that sex means everything out there too. I also love the initiation that would have to come from Em working “cases” with Aich. Maybe working with a senior agent means being part of an extraterrestrial orgy, complete with Aich correcting her form mid-act? Or maybe part of the show is that the aliens want Em and Aich to perform with each other for them.
** If we matched on H/C, I’d imagine Cee’s attraction to Aich would be even worse because whenever Aich comes back in to debrief, that debrief involves hearing all about whatever insane extraterrestrial sex Aich was having. Maybe this is lighthearted, Aich can tell Cee is into him and he plays up the descriptions, makes everything sound super sexy and lewd all while making eyes at Cee. ** To go along with the “Canon is 100x more gothic and foreboding,” there’s so much room to add Horror elements to MiB. Deadly space virus! Alien invasion! Or really play up the Hive taking over Tea, a tentacle monster wearing your lead as a skinsuit is pretty freaking terrifying!

ALL: Major Canon Location is haunted
** MiB London is not only host to living aliens, but the spirits of extraterrestrials passing through. This can be a spooky scary thing, or just commonplace. Maybe Em is a little freaked out, but Aich has a charming relationship with a few of them.
** Or Aich is charmed by how Em stops to watch and listen to a ghost that the rest of them pass every day.
** Or Aich works with a ghost to prank Cee.
** Or Aich sneaking up to have some romance time with Tea gets a little iffy when he realizes there’s a ghost in Tea’s office watching them.

** If we matched on H/M, Em is the long-tenured agent at the New York office and Aich is the new recruit from London visiting the US. Maybe Aich is the plucky, eager one where Em is a bit more jaded. Or Em usually doesn’t have partners because she’s so idealistic and perfectionist. Meanwhile, Aich is so lax and reckless, Em wonders how the guy got hired!
** If we matched on T/H, Aich is the bright lead of MiB London and Tea is a senior agent under Aich. I’ve come to really, really love this pairing. Heimdall is such an amazing character with everything he’s seen and lived through. I love his age and experience, his wisdom, and the silent blessing and curse of his gift of sight. He is so loyal to the throne of Asgard, but also so loyal to Thor, and I love the moments when those two sides come into conflict! There is so much respect and trust and honesty between these two, it makes the loyalty-loving part of me so happy! I’m really excited to see an AU with these two potentially, I’m not sure I’ve read much outside of canon divergence for them? There are so many cool ways you could go. Role reversals! Power reversals! Thor not being part of the royal family. I’m really pumped!

MCU: Heimdall is an ancient artificial intelligence
** Cool! Yeah, I’m totally here for Heimdall being this automated being who has seen and processed so much but has this living, breathing avatar. I’d love to see how Thor progresses into a relationship with Heimdall. If he’s always treated Heimdall like more than a machine. If there are questions raised about whether Heimdall can feel, whether he has loyalty to Asgard or to Thor, whether he cares if Asgard lives or dies. With AI AUs, I’m always so in love with gray areas like “feelings” and “morals.” And with Heimdall being as old as he/it is, presumably serving as many regimes as he has, it would be interesting to see how (or if) what he computes about Thor is different.

MCU: Loki & Heimdall & half the Asgardians secretly go into hiding after the attack on the Statesman
** See, this is so painful because Heimdall can see what Thor is going through! The whole time they’re in hiding, he can see Thor grieve and scream and cry. He sees Thor take the power of Nidavellir to his back. He sees Thor miss Thanos’ head. He sees Thor seclude himself and stop caring about life. He sees everything, but for Reasons he knows they have to stay in secrecy. WAH.

MCU: Loki is favored to be King of Asgard over Thor
** Yepper, one of my favorite Thor AUs :D I could see Thor’s character going so many different directions. Being bitter and disgruntled because he, the “better warrior,” is being overlooked for the throne for his bookworm sorcerer of a brother.
** I can also see Thor being disappointed but resolved to be head of his brother’s guard and take on any foe to keep Asgard safe.
** Maybe, if Loki is still a bit mischievous, this means Thor taking on dangerous missions he should know better than to accept. Maybe Heimdall has to decide whether he steps in or not.
** Or, maybe Thor’s desire to be the best and most worthy general in Asgard’s army means he goes to Heimdall often, seeking his advice, looking up to him, perhaps getting a bit of a crush? ;)

MCU: The Aether inhabits someone other than Jane
** I want the Aether inside Heimdall. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw this tag. And I don’t even know what it would do, or how Heimdall would contain it, or not contain it. I just love this unaccustomed vulnerability for Heimdall, I would LOVE to not only see Heimdall’s struggle but see how Thor would react!

MCU: Thor is a poor Asgardian commoner not royalty
** Thor is so not the rags to riches type, but it’s always made me curious what he would be like if he *did* have that background. Like, maybe he’s just some poor blacksmith barely making enough for food, but he lives an honest happy life. And maybe something about that honest happy life draws Heimdall’s gaze all the way from his perch on the bifrost.
** I’m totally cool if Thor has power and doesn’t know it yet? Maybe it’s locked away to discover when he’s ready?
** Or maybe Thor has no power, he’s just a commoner, but Heimdall still turns his way.

MCU: Thor loses his memories in Thor 1 as well as his powers
** I’d love to see what it would take for Heimdall to abandon his post and go after Thor in Thor 1 if he were to lose his memories and powers. Maybe Thor, with no memories, just knows this super hot guy is looking at him across this bar.
** Or Heimdall tries to explain to Thor who he is, and Thor just laughs at how silly it is to think he could be some thunder god from the sky.

All: A Is a Ghost Only B Can See
** Heimdall’s ghost stays with Thor after Infinity War. Maybe watching as Thor drowns himself in alcohol and food. Maybe Thor yells at him. Maybe Thor sobs. Maybe Korg and Miek think Thor is going a little crazy, but even the Valkyrie doesn’t seem to know how to help him. Maybe Heimdall can comfort Thor at night.

ALL: Bartender AU
** Always one of my faves :D I’m cool with giving this more of an in-universe spin. Maybe take the Thor 1 memory-less prompt, and let amnesia Thor work in a bar until Heimdall comes down and finds him.
** Or, take the “Thor is a poor commoner” prompt. Maybe Heimdall’s gift isn’t what notices Thor.
** Maybe Heimdall just allows himself a rare night at a pub far removed from the palace, and it happens to be the pub Thor works at or owns.
** Or just, out of universe Thor or Heimdall works at a bar and the other is their patron. Yum!

ALL: Canon Character Death Evaded
** Fix it, fix iiiiit! Heimdall asks the All-Fathers to let the Dark Magic flow through him one last time. But maybe it’s two last times. Maybe Heimdall winds up on Midgard with Banner. Or somehow, Heimdall is so ancient and so mighty that even a lance through the chest isn’t enough to end his life. Whatever, just fix it!

ALL: Character Is Resurrected But Came Back Wrong
** PAIIIIIN. So, my immediate thought for this tag was Heimdall, for obvious IW reasons. I think this would be even more terrifyingly angsty because of what a solid, reliable presence Heimdall has been for Thor. Heimdall is that person Thor can rely on, as crazy as everyone and everything else around them may be. That Heimdall, of no fault of his own, could become a threat or this shell of what he once was - and Thor would have to watch that. And potentially make a decision on whether to let Heimdall continue on like this? Ugggggh. It’s so much. It would be even more painful if Thor made the decision himself to bring Heimdall back. So everything he and Heimdall are going through now is because of him :(
** However, I am also totally cool with an opposite scenario. Heimdall feels like Thor died on his watch, and he’s not able to live with that shame and guilt, so he calls on the Dark Magic to revive Thor or something? And the results are...not good? :(

** I’m cool with either side losing their power here. Thor without his strength and the ability to call the storm would be pretty heartbreaking. I’m also totally fascinated by Heimdall without his sight, and how he would respond to that! His sight has allowed him to serve his home for so long. What would that sense of loss be like, and how would Thor respond to seeing Heimdall like that?

ALL: Dead character is resurrected
** Perhaps a happier version than the “resurrected character comes back wrong” tag! Thor finds a way to resurrect Heimdall after IW and everything is totally fine! Maybe that resurrection involves sex??
** Or maybe, in a less happy version, Thor has to sacrifice something for Heimdall to return. Maybe he has to become human and trade his magic for Heimdall’s life.
** Or maybe Thor is permanently injured, or permanently scarred. Like, every time Thor disrobes, Heimdall has to see this ugly, painful scar on Thor’s skin and know he’s the one who placed it there? idk, go wild with this one! Just bring Heimdall back!! ;_;

** I’m very, very curious to see what kinds of diverged timelines are out there! A timeline where Thor became king on Asgard and Heimdall was his closest advisor?
** A timeline where Hela rules Asgard and Thor and Heimdall both uncomfortably serve her guard?
** Maybe a timeline where Heimdall is King of Asgard and Thor is his top general?
** A timeline where Asgard is under attack and unfriendly rule, and Thor and Heimdall lead the resistance and get extra close in dangerous situations?
** Or one where Thor and Heimdall are both outside of the palace completely, just comfortable in a common life? Whatever, I want it!

** I’m sure ghosts inhabiting the palace on Asgard would be very, very interesting. Maybe Thor and Heimdall can bond over stories of who a ghost was in life.
** Or Thor has a sensitivity to the ghosts that others who live in the palace do not, and that’s how Heimdall knows Thor’s power will be grow to be mighty.
** Or maybe the spirit of Hela is trapped in the place, and bad things start happening?
** Or an AU where commoner Thor is a sentry in Asgard’s army, and Heimdall oversees him staring into a corner, knowing he sees the ghost there that none of his fellow soldiers can see.
** Or Heimdall is the only one who can see the ghosts, and as Thor gets older he asks Heimdall more and more often to tell him their stories - which is a bit of a surprise, as arrogant and self-focused as Thor can be.

ALL: Power Swap AU
** Heimdall is Asgard’s most powerful warrior and defender of the realm, carrier of the storm, wielder of Mjolnir. Thor is Asgard’s watcher-prince with the gift of sight across realms, seeing much but saying little.

All: Role Reversal AU
** I need this is my life!!! Heimdall as Asgard's king with his gift of sight, and how that gift may add burden on his rulership. Thor as Heimdall's sentinel, with the power of the storm, sworn to protect Asgard and its king with his life. Just... XD I live for the loyalty in this ship, and the role reversal would bring a whole new dynamic!
** Maybe Thor has fallen for his king and he's this ball of duty and shame-ridden loyalty.
** Maybe Thor risks himself for Heimdall's life to Heimdall's great displeasure.
** Maybe Thor is surprised when a burdened Heimdall asks for his opinion on a sight he saw. Or he worries at the toll this gift takes on his king.
** Maybe Heimdall forbids Thor to lead an offensive because of how violent and overwhelming the scene appears to his eye, and Thor misunderstands and is angry at being cast aside.

** Or! By becoming King of Asgard, Thor inherits Heimdall’s sexual services as well, as have all who came before him. Maybe Thor has been dreaming of this, and he’s eager for it. (Is this still arrogant Thor in Thor 1?)
** Or, maybe Thor is so embarrassed by the custom that his first act as king is to abolish the practice of sexual slavery. (Maybe in Ragnarok?) … Maybe he’s surprised when Heimdall is less than pleased by being released before he can fulfill this duty to his new king.

Ship: Loki/Stephen Strange
Bless Ragnarok for that 1 minute of Strange being an utter shit to Loki. I love how cocky these two are, and how the sorcerer supreme would be this second-rate thing in Loki’s eyes. There’s so much potential to be had for these two one-upping each other and getting frustratingly aroused along the way! With the ramifications of Endgame, there are also chances for a more sobered reunion. Or let them meet earlier in their timelines and have some magic-fueled other dimensional adventures! I’ll be pretty stoked no matter what way you want to go :D

** So curious to see how this would change the relationship between Loki and Strange, if at all! Because Loki is heir to Asgard’s throne, would he have reason to meet the sorcerer supreme of Earth under different circumstances than as a villain?
** Is Strange required by galactic custom to treat Loki with a certain measure of respect because of who he is? Does Strange totally shirk those galactic customs, much to Loki’s annoyance/amusement?
** Would it be Loki’s job as King of Asgard or heir to the throne to seek our help from Strange in a Ragnarok-type situation where Asgard is threatened?

** lmao, this would annoy Strange so much XD Not only does he have to look out for one Loki, he has to look out for two! Maybe the 2018 one isn’t so bad - he’s aggravating and cocky, but he has a bit of a heart. Then there’s 2012 Loki running around with a tesseract, oy. I’d love to see how different and similar Strange’s interactions with the two Lokis are.
** Can he get to the point of having a relationship or just sex with one, but he absolutely cannot stand the other?
** Does he have sex with both but under very different circumstances?
** Does he seek out the two Lokis to keep tabs on them, or do the Lokis reach out to him separately for their own reasons?
** Any reason the two Lokis would team up against Strange, or just bed him good and proper?
** Or any reason Strange would join forces with one Loki against the other?

MCU: Thor does the final snap in Endgame
** I love the pain that could come from seeing this AU from Loki’s perspective. Maybe Thor does succeed in bringing him back, but at the cost of Thor’s life, and Loki is left to make sense of that.
** Or! Happier, Thor does the final snap, Loki comes back. But there’s still anger and resentment over this whole thing happening at all, and there’s no better place to let out anger and resentment than with Strange.
** Or! Loki is back, but he finds himself without a place. New Asgard isn’t his home. And he can’t coop himself up in a ship with Thor and the Guardians. It leaves Loki to roam, and once in awhile that roaming brings him back to Bleecker Street.

All: A Is a Ghost Only B Can See
** Because of Strange’s connection to the mystical and to the stones, he’s the only one who can see Loki’s ghost after he dies. Loki’s ghost has a lot to say about what happens in New York, and what happens on the flying donut, and what happens on Titan. And especially what happens in an AU where Strange doesn’t get blipped and has to live through the five years.

ALL: Canon Character Death Evaded
** Loki lives! Maybe an AU where Heimdall sends Loki to the Sanctum in New York instead of Hulk? Or where Loki somehow manages to tie his life force to the Sanctum in the final moments on the Statesman?

** Makes sense that this universe where Loki invades New York with alien monsters would be the evil mirror ‘verse. There’s totally some other dimension out there where Loki is a peaceful (but still delightfully snippy) mage who partners from time to time with Earth’s sorcerer supreme, both professionally and personally…

All: Character or characters lose their powers
** Oooh, an AU where Loki manages to survive the Statesman or gets resurrected after Endgame but doesn’t have his power anymore! Maybe he goes to Strange for help reviving it, much to his own chagrin, because he fears Strange is one of the few left powerful enough to help.
** Or! Strange loses his magic, which Loki is utterly delighted by...but even he, with his slightly softer heart, doesn’t like how much pain this leaves Strange’s hands in.

ALL: Characters become friends/allies earlier than canon
** Yes! I want sorcerer supreme Strange and seidrmaster Loki on all kinds of magic adventures across dimensions and space!
** Or maybe some AU where Loki is consulted by the Ancient One for pupils with great promise. Maybe he knows Strange is destined to be the next sorcerer supreme, and so Loki takes a personal role in Strange’s training?

ALL: Characters Meet at a Different Point in Their Canon
** Some occasion where Loki would meet Strange prior to Strange becoming a master of the mystic arts? Maybe there’s some occasion where Loki, invading Earth in Avengers 1, would need a doctor, and he scepter mind tricks Strange into joining his cause. (Maybe, while under the scepter’s control, Loki decides to allow himself some pleasure with this somewhat decent looking mortal.) That would make Loki meeting Strange again when Strange is the sorcerer supreme super awkward! :D
** Or! Maybe alter the timeline a bit so Strange is already either Sorcerer Supreme or a student of the Ancient One in Avengers 1. Avengers magic battle between Loki and Strange :DDDD
** Or, magic tethers Loki and Strange way earlier. Like, before Loki’s turn in Thor 1, Strange is already a master of the mystic arts. Strange is aggravating and cocky for a mortal, but Loki still finds himself talking to Strange - bouncing ideas off of him, seeing what Strange reacts to, waiting to see if Strange will give up any information himself. It takes awhile, but Loki realizes this human has become...something of a friend, or even more than that.

ALL: Dead character is resurrected
** At great toll, Strange helps to resurrect Loki after Endgame. Loki puzzles over what Strange expects to get out of bringing him back. Loki is not a fan of puzzles he can’t solve.

ALL: Dimension hopping to find a timeline that isn't doomed
** There’s so much fun for Strange to have hopping around to different timelines that aren’t doomed. Timelines where Loki is still foe, or Loki is a friend.
** Timelines where Strange winds up on the Statesman right before Loki’s death.
** Timelines where pre-sorcerer Strange manages to...distract Loki a bit in Avengers 1, leading to a whole different set of circumstances.
** Timelines where 2012 Loki from Avengers poofs away with the tesseract and...brings it to Strange. Anything and everything, I’m here!
** I’m also cool if Loki is the one doing that dimension hopping, maybe he has that power in the moments before his death on the Statesman. And for some reason, a lot of these alternate timelines are filled with Stephen Strange!

** So much fun to be had! A timeline where Loki and Strange are magic partners in a time of peace. Or in a time of war. Or Strange is involved in the Avengers 1 battle against Loki. ** Strange holds Loki captive for a longer time period in Ragnarok? Loki captures Strange to get him back for Ragnarok? ** Loki sex pollens Strange to get back at him for Ragnarok? Like, Loki doesn’t want to kill the guy, he just wants to remind Strange of his place...and perhaps have some fun while he’s at it! ** Or, Strange doesn’t have a good feeling about Westworld, but he agrees to go check it out. The creation with the seidr magic is so lifelike, so intense…
** Or! Maybe Loki is an AI, and Strange was once a doctor until his accident lost him his career. Now he’s only able to operate with his shaking hands on downed units. And he and Loki - meet in the back rooms and talk rom time to time.

This relationship is one of my favorite things about the MCU. They love each other, then they hate each other, then they’ll risk their lives to protect each other. There is so much room to play around with alternate universes and canon divergence with these two! Power swaps, role reversals, species reversals, timeline or dimensional fuckery. Is he, in a complete flip, super proud and protective of his brother? Is he jealous over the suitors Loki is forced to see as soon-to-be king?

MCU: Loki's spirit haunts Thor post-IW
** So much pain potential! Thor thinks he’s going crazy. Thor hates himself because, not only is Loki dead, now Loki is tethered to him instead of getting to go to Valhalla and be at peace. Thor maybe drinks to try to drown Loki out of his head. Maybe Loki is stuck with Thor and tries to free himself.
** Or maybe Loki chooses to stay with Thor even though he can pass on. Maybe ghost sex! Maybe Loki’s spirit helps Thor in some other way. Maybe Loki’s spirit is gone one day, and Thor is traumatized, but really it’s because Loki is alive again!

MCU: The Grandmaster makes prisoners have sex instead of fight

** I am a sucker for scenarios where someone who should totally not catch royalty’s eye does so. Maybe word spreads about Thor’s blacksmithing abilities, and Loki sees to him personally for new daggers, to Thor’s surprise.
** Maybe Thor works at a tavern or other establishment Loki visits when he’s in disguise out of the palace?
** Maybe an attempt is made on Loki’s life outside the palace and Thor stops it.
** Maybe while Loki is in disguise, he overhears Thor and others grumbling about the poor conditions in this part of town and the royal family who lets it happen.
** If Thor does have dormant powers, could they come out one day to Loki’s complete surprise?

MCU: Thor loses his memories in Thor 1 as well as his powers
** Loki already has so much fun with Thor in Thor 1, without his memories would be even more of a blast! Maybe Loki visits Midgard a bunch to toy with this new mortal version of his brother. Maybe Loki has a delightful time messing with him!
** Maybe Thor is drawn to him naturally, and - Thor thinks - romantically, and Loki has no clue what to do with this.
** Maybe Loki thought he would have fun with a memory-less Thor, but if Thor doesn’t know how far he’s fallen what’s the point?? Maybe this memory-less Thor seems so content with his simple, Midgardian life and Loki hates it!
** Or maybe human Thor with no memories ends up in a bad way. Maybe he’s homeless and cold. Maybe he’s angry and is in and out of prisons. Maybe he picks too many fights he can’t win. ** One of my favorite things! So, I’m totally cool with this being an in-universe situation. Maybe take the “Thor is a poor commoner” prompt and have Thor be a tavern owner whose establishment Loki (in disguise or not) wanders into.
** Or, Loki in disguise is the tavern owner at an establishment his brother frequents often - maybe this was supposed to be an opportunity for mischief, but he’s surprised by the depth of conversation his brother gives in this state. (Maybe he’s a little jealous too??)
** Or, with the “Thor loses his memories in Thor 1” prompt, maybe Thor with amnesia manages to become a bartender on Midgard and Loki visits him?

** This dimension is a horrible thing to Thor and Loki! Where they’re from, Loki’s Jotunn identity was known from birth. Thor loved and protected his brother. Loki is his closest advisor and lover. Asgard is safe and prospering, and it’s because of their just and loving rule. This other dimension horrifies them!

All: Character or characters lose their powers
** Depending on the timeline point, maybe Thor is devastated by his loss of powers. Maybe Loki is delighted, maybe Loki played a part in it? Maybe Loki is...initially delighted, but the depth of Thor’s grief is more than Loki expected. Or, at a different point, maybe Thor is relieved. Maybe losing his powers gives him permission to step away from responsibility. Maybe Loki is more upset about the loss of Thor’s powers than Thor is!
** Or, Loki losing his powers. Oof. Maybe when(!) Loki is resurrected after IW, the cost is Loki’s power. Does he wish Thor left him dead, and it drives a wedge between them? I’ve always loved the connection between Loki and Frigga with Loki’s magic. If he were to lose that final connection with her, it would be so traumatizing ;_;

** Yes! A timeline where Loki, though devastated, accepts the truth of being Jotunn without being mad. Where Loki never betrays Thor. Where Hela returns and succeeds in taking over Asgard. Where Hela was never banished and was next in line to the throne after Odin. Where Loki and Thanos’ forces succeed in overrunning Earth in Avengers 1. Where Loki does not fake his death in Thor 2. Where Thor falls into the void with Loki and bother are captured by Thanos. Where Thor reluctantly agrees to join with Loki in Avengers 1 because he’s missed his brother so much. Where the Warriors Three and Sif never make it to Earth in Thor 1 and Thor never regains his powers. Where Thanos never intercepts the Statesman and it makes it to Earth. Where Loki knows from childhood that he is Jotunn and he’s treated with love and respect. And anything else, so many fun divergences, so many way things could go!

** Loki is heir apparent and Thor is the jealous brother who plots against him! Thor falls from the bifrost instead of Loki and gets manipulated by Thanos into attacking Earth!
