Character: Three
Why Do I Like him?: In a lot of ways, Three is Han Solo in another universe to me. He's brash, crass, totally inappropriate at times, and a big ol' softie at heart. He loves his guns, his booze, his sex, and his space-family. I like that he can be a sarcastic, dangerous asshole one minute, and vulnerable or thoughtful the next. I like his penchant for leather jackets, and omg those thigh holsters *_* I love how snarky he gets when he's forced to dress up. I love his banter, his side-eying, his protectiveness, and how openly he wears his heart on his sleeve.
I Ship Him With:
* Two: the captain/crewmate friends with benefits! The rough sex! Dom!Two! I love that, as hardass as Three is, he respects Two above everyone else.
* Alt!Two: I'm so sad we won't get to see more of these two interacting! I loved the idea of Three being cuffed and dragged off by Portia to who-knows-where. I love how mockingly touchy-feely Portia is, and that she won't hesitate to knock Three around about. I also love the potential ways Three could surprise Portia by being totally unlike the Boone she knows.
* Kierken: End of Season 2 didn't happen, la la la. I love hunter-and-hunted ships, and Kierken is cocky and damn good at what he does. Adversaries hooking up, either by choice or by circumstance, is my jam!
* Six: End of Season 3 didn't happen, la la la. Just when I think I've quit this ship, a terrified Three was practically crawling on Six at Nova 17 *_* I love this size difference, Three's hot head against Six's calm, and how much their relationship thawed into an actual brotherly friendship by Season 3.
Trick Prompts:
* The alien voices are in Three's head. He can't get them out.
* The neural link is messed up. One minute Three is flooded with old memories, next minute he's blank like the amnesia wipe is happening all over again. I'd love any horror at being trapped in your own head, Dark Matter is great for mind fuckery :D
* The aliens do more than possess Three. Tentacle rape, psychological/physical torture, etc. I'm here for everything!
* Haunted, abandoned space ship.
* Ghost in the Raza's system, and everyone is in danger.
* Busted neural link, alien possession, or something else makes Two or Six turn violent on Three or vice versa.
* Interrogation. Kierken tries to get information out of Three, and even he's impressed with the guy's pain tolerance. Maybe the GA orders him to use some fancy new drug for interrogation, and Kierken's not a fan but he does it anyway. Or Alt!Portia toys with Three because she can, maybe Alt!Marcus gets in on the act too!
* I'd love some alt canon in "Wish I'd Spaced You When I Had the Chance" where Three isn't rescued. Maybe Kierken takes a shot/incapacitated Three, does he turn him over to the GA or has he begun to doubt his employers? Or injured Three gets stolen by Alt!Portia (and Alt!Marcus if you'd like). Portia would have a blast with a shot/incapacitated Three.
* Thanks to some neural link malfunction, Two can suddenly hear all of Three's thoughts before he thinks them. This can be more of a trick - maybe it's an invasion of privacy. Or maybe Two suddenly knows Three is in danger. Or more of a treat, maybe Two senses that Three thinks she looks hot in whatever she's wearing or that he was crying last night after rereading Charlotte's Web or something :P
* One of the above happens on Three after another memory wipe.
* One of the above saves Three from a mutual enemy, only to realize he's been pumped full of fuck or die drugs and can't even say his own name.
* Three is stranded with someone on an ice planet. Supplies are low and the temperature is dropping fast.
* Three and one of the above are taken captive by the same mutual enemy. Maybe they escape together. Maybe they're both tortured/raped together and have to deal with the aftermath. Maybe they're locked in a tight cell together wondering what's coming next.
* Three is never the same after the black oil at Dwarf Star. He can usually hide it. Usually.
* Some of Tanner's old crew hunt down Three and want to make him pay.
Treat Prompts:
* Alt canon where pretending to be married in the past on Terra Prime leads to actual moments of awkward tension betewen Two and Three.
* No rhyme or reason, just give me Two in captain mode in the bedroom and Three more than happy to pleasure her with "sure thing, boss" and doing whatever she wants!
* Three and Six have to pretend to be together to infiltrate some swanky illegal space hub.
* Kierken figures out the Raza was right about the GA and the corporations. Will Three welcome him into the fold or say I told you so?
* Or, Three knows he should kill Kierken when he finds the guy half-dead after the Season 2 finale explosion. He's never been good at doing the smart thing.
* Six learns that Three gets extra affectionate when he drinks.
* AU: Kierken is the Raza's mole inside the GA, the times he gets to hook up with Three are a bonus.
* Alt!Portia and Three have a truce after the aliens. Three wants to resist her, but Portia knows more about what turns him on than he does.
* Inspired by the time loop episode, I'd love time loop Three to be so done with everything that he decides to come on to Six. Maybe he's tired of Solara knocking him out, and he expects Six to do the same. Only...Six is receptive to it?
* One of the Above + Three + Impromptu Strip Poker
Character: Tyrion Lannister
Why Do I Like Him? I just finished watching GoT, and I fell in love with this character. He is such a multi-faceted ball of snark. I love how, in certain company, he can wear the mockery of others like a prize. And in others, you can see the devastation weighing on him. I love that calculating Lannister mind and how he (usually) uses that power for good. He's funny, brutally honest, and a bit of a lush in drink and in bed. I love how cynical he starts the show, and how that hardness softens by the time he sees Dany for the first time.
I Ship Him With:
* Bronn: So. Much. Snark. I love how IDGAF Bronn is with Tyrion, and that it's one of the things Tyrion respects most about him. I love the size and strength difference. I love that Bronn isn't afraid to say what he's thinking, while he's more than happy to accept Tyrion's money along with it. I love the potential Bronn has for hurting Tyrion by showing his more selfish side, and that Tyrion never really holds it against him. I love that Tyrion's acceptance seems to weigh on Bronn a little bit more every time they cross paths.
* Sansa Stark: I can't wait to see the reunion of these two in Season 8! These two hurt my heart, because we saw a little 5 minute peek at what fun they could have been under much different circumstances (the sheep shift scene), but life just couldn't let them be :( I love that Sansa has the ability to surprise Tyrion with her boldness and her pain. I love that, young as she is at the time they're married, Sansa isn't afraid to speak her mind to Tyrion. I also love that, young as she is, she doesn't quite realize why some of the things she says are painful for him. (The "what if I never want to?" line on their "wedding night," ugh.) I find the age difference and the forced marriage interesting, and I love their connection as two people forced into this terrible situation and just trying to survive the insanity of Kings Landing.
* Jaime Lannister: If there's one fandom I can request incest in, it should be this one right? :p I love how different Jaime's relationship is with Cersei and with Tyrion. I love that with Tyrion, there's more of a protectiveness. There's banter. They're harsh truths. And there's the pain of the Tysha incident. But the affection between these two is so clear. Tyrion never doubts that Jaime will protect him if he can, and Tyrion tries to protect him too - in his own ways. I love that Jaime should have been the golden boy of the family, but they're both disappointments to their father for different reasons.
Trick Prompts:
* Tyrion accidentally happens on a white walker long before season 7, maybe he's still at the Wall when Jon sees one for the first time?
* Tyrion never believed in ghosts, but setting foot on the wrong burial ground changes all that.
* Tyrion is being haunted. No one believes him until things go terribly wrong. +1 if the ghost is haunting him for being a Lannister, nevermind that he's far from the worst one :P Or maybe he's haunted by his father.
* A time loop, and Tyrion sees one of the above dying over and over and over again.
* This fandom is perfect for dark magic of all kinds. Maybe Tyrion is used for some kind of blood ritual. (Does some witch's dark spell demand the blood of an imp?) Maybe his mind is controlled and he's forced to dso something against his will. Or someone else is forced to do something to him. Maybe he's cursed somehow, and he's kinda resigned to it because his whole life has been a curse to this point.
* An enemy cuts out Tyrion's tongue, and/or the aftermath of becoming a mute.
* Tyrion's tormentor hates Lannisters. It doesn't matter that he isn't the worst of the bunch, they take great pleasure in torturing and/or raping him anyway.
* Winter means white walkers, but maybe some other ancient evil stirs as the leaves change in the fall. Any mythological evil waking and tormeting Tyrion and friends would be amazing.
* Mind possession by an enemy or evil magic *_* Tyrion is so much more agreeable this way, so much less trouble. Bronn, Sansa, or Jaime would surely notice though. I love mind control scenes where one person can definitely tell something is wrong, and the person being controlled or possessed just looks confused, forced smiles, maybe a little nervous.
* Tyrion accepts torture or rape to save someone he cares about. Bronn did say Tyrion has never risked anything for him - maybe now is his chance. Maybe Tyrion's protection makes Sansa see him in a new light. Maybe it puts even more guilt on Jaime, who's already feels useless without his right hand.
* Jaime and Tyrion post Tysha.
* Tyrion learns what Ramsay did to Sansa.
Treat Prompts:
* I'm a sucker for nightmare comforting. Bronn doesn't get soft on anyone, but that doesn't mean he wants the little lord twisting himself into knots in bed. Maybe the first time Sansa invites Tyrion into her bed, it's after nightmares about her family, or waking up to his nightmare? Jaime was always more moved by Cersei, but he still crawled into bed with his little brother if Tyrion needed him.
* I love the whole "dwarves have a magic cock" running joke in GoT. What if...it actually is magic or good luck? ^^; Like, Bronn was doing all right, then he messed with Lannister one night and suddenly he's rolling in gold and everything is going just right. No point risking a good thing by stopping! Or Jaime realizes that everything turns south in his life when he and Tyrion aren't together.
* Tyrion is always warm, and his partner is always cold. Or vice versa!
* Tyrion is good at rewarding people with money. He's also good at rewarding them with his mouth and clever fingers.
* AU where Tyrion and Sansa escape after Joffrey's death together. Or where Bronn or Jaime sneak Tyrion out and stay with him.
* Tyrion's legs get sore after a long day of walking or riding. One of the above helps rub them for him.
* Bronn had forgotten about the little lord at the masquerade with the easy wit and the suggestive smile. He remembers Lannister at the inn, right before Lady Stark takes him captive.
* Tyrion and one of the characters above get a little too drunk, and bad (but hot) life choices are made.
* In an alt canon, would Sansa ever invite Tyrion to share her bed, either sexually or for comfort? If so, why the change of heart? Is it being turned on after a little too much wine? Is it after Tyrion is mocked in front of her and he doesn't stand up for himself? Does she notice another man or woman looking at Tyrion and get unexpectedly jealous, or curious about what they're seeing in him?
* What kind of fall festivals are there in Westeros, and what kind of mischief can Tyrion get into there?
Characters: Eames, Robert Fischer
Why Do I Like Them? I love that, as much time as these two spend on screen, I never really felt like I knew them. Everything we get about Robert Fischer is broken down, like Inception itself, to his relationship to his father. Who is he before his father gets sick? Who is he after the movie? Same with Eames. We find him in Mombasa, we know he likes fancy suits and snarking. We know he's smooth as honey when he lies, that he can assume people's faces and mannerisms. But what else? Where's he from? Who was he before the movie, who is he after? As my requests probably show, I love the wise crackers, so Eames was a natural favorite in Inception for me. But I love Fischer too. I love that he's the target in this caper, but he's also the most honest and upstanding person in the bunch. I love how genuine he seems to be, how damaged he's been by his father, and the potential for his happiness or his ruin after the movie ends.
I Ship Then With:
* Each other! I've been intrigued by the fact that Eames had to study so hard to infiltrate Fischer's life and embody a man who's been like a surrogate father to him. I like the idea that Eames, by being the closest to Fischer, would be the most interested in the outcome of the inception. Maybe he checks on Fischer afterwards, to see if he really is happy. Or maybe Fischer stumbles on Eames by accident, maybe he has deja vu - it feels like they've met before, but there's no way is there?
* If you do want to explore other options, I always love Eames/Yusuf, Eames/Arthur, or Eames/Cobb. I also find the idea of Fischer/Saito really interesting, especially in the aftermath of Fischer breaking down his father's empire.
Trick Prompts:
* Eames in the aftermath of a job that goes south. Maybe he's hurt, maybe he's hunted, or maybe it does something to his mind. He never used to have nightmares, and now he can't stop.
* Fischer's dissolve of his father's empire goes terribly. Maybe he never makes it and winds up poor. Maybe he gets death threats from powerful people. Maybe something unexpected happens in his life, where not having his father's wealth costs him dearly. A major accident, an illness, another loss in the family, etc.
* A side effect of inception: Fischer is haunted by images of his father all the time. Maybe Eames tries to help, maybe he's seen this type of post-job breakdown before.
* A side effect of inception: Eames is left with the ability to sense Fischer's thoughts.
* One of Fischer's stakeholders comes for him after all the money lost in the company's dismantling. Abduction? Torture? Rape? Attempted murder?
* Eames is in some kind of dream, and Fischer is there. Is it a projection? Or are they both in someone else's head? Are they prisoners?
* Fischer wakes up reassured of his father's love for him. He also wakes up believing his world is not real.
Treat Prompts:
* When Fischer first spots Eames, he has the oddest sense of deja vu. Maybe it's just a sign they were meant to connect.
* Eames never gets much of a conscience about jobs, but he finds himself checking in on Robert Fischer. He wants him to be happy.
* Life must be sending a message, because when Eames ducks into the closest pub during a surprise rainstorm he suddenly finds himself looking at Robert Fischer at the bar.
* Eames doesn't always dream, but when he does it's about a warm bed shared with Robert Fischer.
Character: Ethan Chandler
Why Do I Like Him? Ethan is such a delight because he ended up being completely different from what I expected when I first started the show. When you see an American gunslinger show up in a period series, it's easy to expect the wise cracking, boozing, me-first guy. I like that we're introduced to Ethan at a traveling Wild West show, it pretty much symbolizes what we're going to expect from Ethan vs. what he's actually going to be. In reality, he's the most thoughtful, caring character on the show. He has the strongest moral center at the start. He's loyal. He's damaged. He loves, and he believes. Physically, I love how long and strong he is. I love how his appearance is a clash of the two worlds he's inhabited - the beaten up clothes and boots with little touches of the wealthy life he left behind. And I'm always a sucker for a character with a dark secret.
I Ship Him With:
* Victor Frankenstein. Sadly, these two didn't meet much in Seasons 2 and 3. In Season 1, they were the bantering hate-ship I adored *_* Victor hates Ethan on sight, because he's making the same assumptions about Ethan that everyone else does. He sees big, strong American, goes green with jealousy, and peacocks his scientific prowess to expose Ethan as some idiot brute. As they get to know each other, I love that Victor begins to trust Ethan with his insecurities. (He wants to learn how to use a gun, he's a virgin, etc) And Ethan, in kind, starts sticking up for Victor like a big brother would. I love that these two have the secret of what Victor did to Brona between them, and we've been left to wonder if Ethan ever finds out.
* Sir Malcolm Murray. I love the quasi-incestual found family potential with this ship. I love that Malcolm is older, cultuered, and experienced. I love that Ethan is taller and stronger. I love the power dynamic, with Malcolm as Ethan's employer. I love that Ethan comes from such a damaged home, and that Malcolm is the orchestrator of his own damaged home, and how this found-father relationship turns hostile but circles back to acceptance. I love that, in the end, these two characters lose the person who united them, but they stay together regardless because they're family now.
* Vanessa Ives/Alexander Sweet. I crave all the dark potential of Vanessa and Dracula ruling the night creatures and keeping a subdued Ethan as their prize. Maybe Ethan would succumb to the darkness like Vanessa. Maybe he would try to withstand them but end up as their chained pet. For all the build up, I just wish we could have gotten more of these three together.
Trick Prompts:
* Ethan is the last person standing when the darkness wins. Maybe he's kept alive by a misguided Vanessa's pity or Dracula's sadistic curiosity. Maybe Ethan still thinks Vanessa can be saved, or worse - maybe he knows she can't and he's given up.
* Sweet lets the night creatures torture Ethan. Vanessa never stops them.
* Victor finally confesses about Brona, or Ethan passes Lily in the street and learns what Victor did.
* Post-series, Sir Malcolm returns to Ethan's life with a new job.
* Ethan, Malcolm and/or Victor hunt some new creature in London, or abroad on one of Malcolm's adventures.
* Is Vanessa haunting Ethan, Victor, and Malcolm? Or have they all gone a bit mad?
* Ethan goes to Victor after a werewolf turn when he needs to be cleaned up, or lay low. I love bandaging bloody wounds, using alcohol to disinfect or numb pain, Ethan being stoic and grumbly or silent when he's in the most pain.
* Victor is studying Ethan's werewolf condition post-series, trying to see if there's any way to reverse the blood curse. Things...go wrong.
* Ethan happens on Victor doped up on maybe too many drugs; maybe this is back in season 1, before their relationship thawed.
* Ethan is trapped by the authorities as a werewolf, Victor and/or Malcolm come to his aid, or visit him before he's to be executed.
* Dracula may have retreated but the night creatures don't forget. They come for Ethan, Malcolm and/or Victor.
* Ethan (and Victor?) doesn't believe in ghosts, but Malcolm may have something that will change their minds.
* Possession! Maybe the Devil returns, in retribution for what happened to Vanessa. Maybe Dracula subdues Ethan into agreeing with everything they do, and Vanessa knows it's wrong but it puts her conscience at ease to have Ethan in their arms. Or Victor is startled when Ethan suddenly comes on to him. Or Ethan is startled when Malcolm comes on to him. Or one tries to torment or torture the other.
Treat Prompts:
* Ethan, Victor and/or Malcolm reunite post-series. Do they fall in like long lost family or is it awkward without Vanessa? Maybe they meet up in autumn, when the leaves are falling from the trees. Maybe it feels normal to meet up when the world around them is dying.
* I love Ethan's line in the finale to Malcolm, "you're my family now." What does that look like? Is he still living in the Murray home? Have he and Malcolm become close?
* Give me the completely impossible dream that Alexander Sweet was never Dracula, and he/Vanessa/Ethan can be a happy little poly relationship forever. Or, tinge it with sadness and make it a dream planted in Ethan's head by Dracula as torture, or something Vanessa still thinks about when she sees how much damage her darkness with Dracula has done to the world.
* Ethan and Victor and/or Malcolm meet up by chance at the same masquerade or other fall event. Maybe they've fallen out of touch since Vanessa, and seeing each other brings back a rush of old forgotten feelings.
* At least once a year post-series, Ethan and Victor get together and have one too many drinks as they think about their lives.
* Season 1 bickering Ethan and Victor or Ethan and Malcolm turns into unexpected, heated making out ^.^
Character: Mick Davies
Why Do I Like Him? I liked Mick Davies a lot. I liked his fancy suits, his soft hands, his scruff, his stubbornness. I liked when he seemed like the smooth talking, string-pulling puppetmaster of the British Men of Letters. I liked him even more when the layers were pulled back and it turned out he was damaged goods. Mick is a mess, and it's a little surprising that he's such a mess, you know? He's gone his whole life trusting in a code, because the alternative was accepting the wrong he's done and losing his mind, basically. I love that after a few weeks of a love-hate truce with the Winchesters, he's about to shatter. He's an alcoholic. He's a nightmare-riddled, self-loathing piece of glass in a fancy suit, and I'm pretty bitter that all the build to his breakdown was over before it began :(
I Ship Him With:
* Dean Winchester. Sam Winchester. Or Dean and Sam Winchester together! I really liked that we got to see how much being around Dean and Sam was affecting Mick, but Dean and Sam never really got that full picture. I loved Sam and Mick bonding over lore. I loved Dean hating the guy one minute, and being awed by his three-star hotels with fancy towels the next. I love that Mick can drink both of them under the table. I love the idea of there already being some tension in the Dean/Sam dynamic, and Mick finding out about that tension - or stumbling into it without realizing a thing. And I would love to see Dean and/or Sam figuring out how much of a disaster this guy is under all the pomp and fanciness.
* Castiel. In a lot of ways Mick was a human Castiel parallel. Good little soldier going along with his overlords, even though their orders are shady as hell. I love all the implied back history the BMoL have with angels that isn't fully explored. Mick hasn't done much work in the field before meeting the Winchesters, but he isn't exactly agape at meeting Castiel. I'd love to see Cas or Mick catch on to how simialr they are. Or maybe there's a circumstance where Mick could actually help Cas, or vice versa.
* Arthur Ketch. Clearly, this one didn't work out so well :( But there was tension here that, sadly, was never fully explored. Ketch and Davies both went through Kendricks and Davies was pulled into the BMoL fold when he was living on the street. But I still found it interesting that there was a bit of a class tension between these two. Ketch is the guy in the trenches, doing all the killing and the dirty work for the BMoL. Davies is the white collar with the soft hands, rarely in the field but presumptuous enough to think he can give Ketch orders. I think some early tension with these two as young men could have been interesting. Or maybe something later, an established hate-fuck kind of thing?
* Crowley. This one is a long shot, but we get the implication that Crowley was working under-the-table with the BMoL for awhile. Maybe Davies was their representative early on. Maybe it was his job to smooth over any disagreements with the King of Hell. Maybe Crowley took an interest in what Mick was getting out of the Men of Letters, maybe what Crowley could offer to make him a double-agent? Before the Winchesters, Mick had a very black-or-white view of what makes someone a monster. I'd love to see Crowley test that moral high horse a bit.
Trick Prompts:
* Mick survives his confrontation with the BMoL, but his memories are completely wiped.
* Mick isn't killed, but he's tortured and beaten by the time Dean and Sam find him.
* Dean and Sam already have enough tension between them, incest and family drama and what not. Adding Mick to that puzzle causes a whole other level of bitterness.
* Mick isn't killed by the BMoL, he's...reset.
* Mick wants to sell his soul to Crowley for something.
* A part of Mick wants to die for what he did at Kendricks. Dean and Sam know all about death wishes. It only takes a case or two together for the brothers to realize what Mick is trying to do to himself.
* Mick and nightmares. Maybe he deals with them alone, maybe another character sees him.
* How much alcohol does it take Mick to confess to Dean and Sam what he did as a child in Kendricks? Or maybe he blurts it to Cas? How do they react?
* A ghost encounter hits close to home when it's the boy Mick killed at Kendricks coming for him.
* Mick actually thinks to pray when he's about to die with the BMoL. More surprisingly, Castiel hears him and can get there in time.
* Any kind of demon possession! Mick possessed, Dean possessed, Sam possessed? Yes please. Or maybe Crowley takes Mick for a spin to get a better look at the BMoL from the inside?
Treat Prompts:
* Fill in the drunk night Mick spent with Dean and Sam. Were they shooting the shit? Making increasingly ill-advised bets involving the removal of clothes? Making out?
* Careful observation tells Mick that Castiel seems to like pumpkin-flavored things.
* A normal Wednesday meeting between Mick Davies of the British Men of Letters and Crowley of Hell.
* Mick doesn't know who Crowley is, Crowley knows exactly who he is. A table for one suddenly becomes a table for two.
* Mick Davies and Arthur Ketch: random five star hotel hate sex after a job.
* Mick decides fake dating or fake marriage is great cover on a job. Dean or Sam have it sprung on them and have to play along. Or, Castiel or Crowley decides fake dating or fake marriage is a great cover, and Mick has to play along without any warning.
Characters: Ben Tallmadge, Caleb Brewster
Why Do I Like Them? There is so much history between these two now - the good, before the war, and everything good and bad between and after. I love how strong their friendship has been, and how that friendship was tested by the war and by the power dynamics of Ben's leadership. I love that Caleb is one of few people that could put Ben in his place or challenge him if he needed it. I love that they've both seen the best and worst in each other, and I'd love to see what became of that relationship when the war was over.
I Ship Them With:
* Each other *.*
* If you match on me with these two, I'm thinking you're probably interested in writing them together as friends or in a relationship? But if you want to veer another direction, I'm also always interested in Ben/Andre, Ben/Washington, Ben/Caleb/Washington, Caleb/Abe, Ben/Caleb/Abe, Ben/Arnold, Ben/Bradford (RIP my hateship of doom), Ben/Lafayette, Ben/Hamilton, Caleb/Anna, and my favorite: CALEB/HAPPINESS.
Trick Prompts:
* It's only after the war ends that Ben is able to process the trauma Caleb was dealt by Simcoe and how terrible a friend he was during it.
* Caleb still has his nightmares after the war, but he's surprised to find Ben does too. Ben always seemed to handle things better than him.
* Sometimes the nightmares feel more like the haunting of angry, dead men.
* The war is troubling enough, but then Ben and Caleb stumble on a dead soldier with human bites on his neck.
* Caleb and Ben have the innate ability to sense when something bad is happening to the other. Something bad is happening.
* All it takes is one drink too many for all the bad memories from the war to come back up.
* The British win the war. Ben and/or Caleb are captured. Are they tortured? Raped? Sentenced to die?
* Ben's mission is to accept Arnold's proposal to defect to the King's Army. He can't tell anyone. Not even Caleb.
* Ben pulls through after he falls in the cold, winter river in S1E5, but the first night or two it doesn't look good. Caleb fights to keep his best friend warm and alive.
* I love the moments when Ben's rank places tension between himself and Caleb. Maybe Caleb is being so defiant, and Ben is getting so angry, that some line between them gets crossed.
Treat Prompts:
* Ben and/or Caleb, the night the war is officially over.
* It's the first time in years Caleb has seen Ben without his officer uniform. The normal clothes look good on him. Caleb can't wait to take them off.
* Or, now that the war is over, Caleb gets Ben to put the officer blue and gold on one more time. He can finally strip it off the way he's always wanted to.
* Ben and Caleb drink enough that when ill-advised words about how much they care for each other come out, neither are surprised or upset about it.
* Now that the war is over, Ben and Caleb wind up in the same town under a safe roof in a warm bed. They can finally be together without the war stress or the fear of being discovered.
* Ben and Caleb share a tent during a thunderstorm.
* Ben is always warm when the weather starts to turn. He usually grumbles when Caleb tries to sneak into his tent late at night, but every once in awhile he's too sleepy and content to make Caleb leave.
* I really just need Ben/Caleb adrenaline fueled victory sex after putting Bradford in his place at the start of Season 2 *.*
* Ben and Caleb reminisce as older men.
* The first time Ben and Caleb get together, pre-war or during the war.

Dark Matter (TV)
* Haunted, abandoned space ship.
Game of Thrones (TV)
Inception (Movie)
Penny Dreadful (TV)
* Season 1 bickering Ethan and Victor or Ethan and Malcolm turns into unexpected, heated making out ^.^
Supernatural (TV)
Turn (TV)
Characters: Ben Tallmadge, Caleb Brewster
Why Do I Like Them? There is so much history between these two now - the good, before the war, and everything good and bad between and after. I love how strong their friendship has been, and how that friendship was tested by the war and by the power dynamics of Ben's leadership. I love that Caleb is one of few people that could put Ben in his place or challenge him if he needed it. I love that they've both seen the best and worst in each other, and I'd love to see what became of that relationship when the war was over.
I Ship Them With:
* Each other *.*
